I like Thiago, but he just needs to lose a little bit of weight because it's just effecting his performance cutting all that weight. He would be even deadly if he was near 100% in the cage.
yea, height often times has a lot to do with how you deal with all the styles that come into the octagon. Too short against a striker with good takedown defense isnt always good.. Thiago needs to stay in a weight class where his height is on par with others in that class
Im excited about his next fight...finally we get to see him fight a striker, im hoping the winner of this fight fights the winner of Lytle/Condit, that would b great to see
Hopefully the surgery and time off of training allowed him to trim down a bit. He doesn't look quite as jacked as he did in his last fight.
Weight-wise he could of course fight at 185, but like he's stated before, he's at such a height/reach disadvantage at MW, it'd be a really tough go for him. He just doesn't need to be so ****ing muscular. Enough with the weight training for a while
personally i dont see it as a problem to him, howard is no gsp and alves has beaten the likes of kos and hughes who are both excellent all round fighters. i see this as alves tko in less than 2 rounds.

Thats a pretty cool video. He has beaten almost all the top dogs in the welterwieght division.
We'll see if he makes the weight first.
On the side note, the video is very well done. Great cinematography.
