Very nice to see them together. Wand seems to be learning a lot from Anderson I hope his standup will be ready for Cung le!
Well then that seals it. Congratulations Cung Le.
Flippant comment aside the reason Wandy will struggle is because Andy is trying to turn a slugger into a technical striker. As Wandy has aged he throws with less abandon and has attempted to become more technical in his striking. He has moved away from his strength: ferocity, and is going to try and take a technical striking match to Cung Le. That won't work.
Wandi could have went to Chael for advice, but not everybody into sticking needles in their buttocks
Uh oh looks like daddy long strokes has some competition, seems like someone else has the HOTS 4 Chael....yizzzuk
I have to agree that it's too late for the Axe Murderer to turn into the Axe Surgeon
But did you see the weigh in? I think whatever "damage" the Spider will have done will be 'outweighed' by Cung Le, who looks like he's been eating lots of doughnuts to prepare for the fight.
At 0:26 is that Jerome le Banner, right behind Anderson?
I'd love to think that we were going to see a new and improved more technical version of Wanderlei but realistically it's no going to happen, not at this stage in his career anyway. His classic "balls to the wall" brawling style has become his downfall these days as invariably he is the one that gets KO'd in any exchanges, his chin lets him down often too. I think Cung Le is just going to be too much for him, Le is under rated imo and has both powerful and precise strikes, as well as a deadly range of kicks that have won him many fights. He is also unorthodox and unpredictable. I think Wanderlei's best fights are behind him, where as Cung Le's best fights are yet to come. Le by KO/TKO......
Looks like someone axe murdered his face...
