UFC Middleweight Wanderlei Silva, who was in attendance at the inaugural Samurai MMA Pro show in Culver City, CA, discusses his UFC 139 bout against Cung Le, as well as his fighting future. Silva feels Le has the "best kicks in MMA," but says he's prepared to defend against them. When asked how much longer he plans to compete, "The Axe Murderer" jokes that he'd like to surpass Randy Couture, who retired at age 48.  Photo: Francis Specker

A dude who's suffered 2 serious concussions is planning to stay in this sport for another 12 years and to fight against top level competition, I mean a feather hitting Wanderlei's head would knock him out.

It's ok to fight longer than Randy Couture as long as you won't get KO'd again..:D

Sucks for Wanderlei, he really wants to fight and is always motivated, but his chin is now betraying him. If he wants to keep competing, he will have to work on his defence.

Man... really don't wanna see Wandy get hurt in the long-term.

On top of being a huge fan and being concerned for his health, it's also bad for the sport to potentially have guys with long-term dementia-type injuries.
