Visitng MMA seminar in Germany, legend of the sport Wanderlei "The Axe Murderer" Silva spoke about his unsuccessful return to the Octagon against Chris Leben, and the potential rematch with Vitor Belfort. Silva also discussed Chael Sonnen's recent remarks about Brazil and Wandeco's immigrant status, claiming that the trash-talking Oregonian would prefer to run away if they meet ever again. Silva is currently 2-3 in his last five fights in the UFC, losing to Chris Leben, Rich Franklin and Rampage Jackson, and winning against Michael Bisping and Keith Jardine.

I love ya Wandy and Chael has no punching power but if you two came to blows at this point in time I'd have to lay $$$ on Chael.

In an world where everything was perfect Wanderlai would KO even better submit Chael just to shut his mouth And then we wouldn't have this have macho crap we've had for the past few months. Just a series of excuses and complaints

I dont think if Bisping couldnt KO Wandy, and Chael had every chance in the world to finish Bryan Baker, Filho, Dan Miller, Okami, Nate. Chael hasnt finished a fight in years, and this would be the only person her could possibly do it against, but id give Wandy the same chance i gave him against Bisping

Wandy a littlebit dilusional, no ufc fighter will run for wandy ever again.

He should retire, he's a legend and he should quit while he's ahead.

You mean "behind", not ahead. That's exactly why he won't retire now. No way, not like that.

Inside the octagon Chael has no reason to run, outside where there's no cameras and no Herb Dean is a different story....they don't call him the axe murderer for nothing

its personal its not just a silly argument...at one point or another Chael is going to have to fight a Brazilian and it doest matter who they are, they will be aiming to destroy Chael...

i wish Jose Aldo would be bigger or could be able to go up on weight..i know its impossible....but i would love to see someone like Aldo beat chael into a million pieces....

Wanderlei Silva is a legend and i love the guy !

Still if he would ever fight Sonnen he would get destroyed ..

Plain and simpel thats just a fact ..

Sonnen would take him down and thats the end of that round .

Same for round 2 and 3 .. nah he should stay away from Sonnen ..

And get 1 or 2 more fights and then hang the gloves !

I'll always love Wanderlei man and if we were maybe 8-9 years in the past i'd probably pick Wandy to knock his head into the back row. Sadly, we're in the present, and Wandy is a shadow of his former self and as much as i'd love to see him whoop Chaels ass, i'm afraid it would be vice versa. Chael proved to everone in his last fight that he is a legitemate contender at MW, and love him or hate him, he is the better fighter of the two right now. Of course, there's always that chance Wandy would catch him with a punch but Chael isn't daft either, unfortunately, he would just keep taking him down at will and GnP out the win. As much as i love and respect Wanderlei i really do wish he would call it a day now, no one would think any worse of him. I know it isn't an easy thing for a fighter to do but, i really don't want to see him getting KO'd anymore, i would rather remember him in his prime, back in Pride...........

wand with one of the worst ufc records, talking smack again. chael will demolish him, not by ko but by gnp consistently over 3 rounds. everyone knows what wand was like and why he is so respected but this is present day and everyone knows what wand is now.

I love Wandy, but with his chin these days, I don't doubt that Chael could knock him out.... he put Anderson on his ass several times.

Wanderlei says in this interview that he'll fight whoever the UFC wants him to. The UFC wanted him to fight Brian Stann and he ducked the fight.

Guess who didn't duck Brian Stann when he was offered the fight.

I feel bad for Wanderlei , he used to be the beast!

a killer , a bad ass , people were scare of him he even fought heavyweights and never back down on a fight

he was fierce and ruthless in the ring

but the Wanderlei that he see now is not half the fighter he used to be

not the same fighter who KO Rampage!

in the present Chael Sonnen will just run over Wanderlei

i think Wanderlei should fight Akiyama and retire if he wins with a bang

As much of a legend that Wanderlei is, Chael would win a MMA fight.

For some reason I might pick wanderlei in a bar fight, as long as the bar was extremely small and packed... lol
