This month, "The Last Emperor" Fedor Emelianenko will return to action, facing Pedro Rizzo in St. Petersburg, Russia. Emelianenko will look to extend his current winning streak to 3, one year after losing to Dan Henderson via TKO at Strikeforce card in Chicago, Illinois. Emelianenko is currently going through the final stages of his training camp in the Netherlands, and is expected to arrive in Russia one week before the showdown with "The Rock".

Recent rumors suggest that on June 23rd Emelianenko will enter the ring for the last time in his illustrious Mixed Martial Arts career. Russian legend will be facing Rizzo with a record of 33-4-(1), 9 KO/TKO and 16 Submission victories.

He looks to be in good shape. His shoulders and legs look like they have been used. Instead of what they looked like in the last several fights. I wish he wouldn't retire, but who knows....Maybe he is saying I'm going to retire and then leave M-1.

    Wishful thinking....

Maybe the G.O.A.T and maybe his last fight, those two things are not for certain but what is for certain is that he took the wrong road after Pride.

I think he would have fallen much faster if he went right to the UFC instead of fighting guys like Tim Silvia, Arlovski, Rogers ect....

Fedor wins this by throwing Rizzo out of the cage backwards and over his head.

I love Pedro Rizzo, but at this point of his career, he is nothing but another can to make Fedor's record look better.

Cant totally agree with that Kendo. His early years were spent fighting the best at that time, later, no so much.

Yes, recently Fedor has fought sub par competition. Who's fault is that? well M-1 and UFC's. Fedor has fought top competition during pride, it is just as good if not better than anybody in the ufc fighting currently. From statistics Fedor is undefeated in Pride, Anderson has lost twice in Pride. When Fedor fought the Pride, the heavyweights were the best in the world, he also fought the guys who were in their prime. You may not like the man but statistics do not lie, it's simple. Fedor is the best heavyweight in history of MMA thus far. When Cain or JDS have more than 30 fights (while being undefeated for a decade) we can discuss the topic further.

No, Sapp would get KO'd by Fedor stepping into the ring.

The way Fedor is training (based on his physique not this vid) I highly doubt he is thinking about retirement. He looks a lot more like he is thinking comeback. I just hope there is some way he can get into the UFC because the vast majority of relevant HWs are there and even though I fully believe that Fedor is capable of regaining the summit, he can only do that in the UFC right now.

I tend to agree, he does not look like he would like to retire. Maybe retire from M-1? Doubtful, but it's fun to dream.

Totally agree. I think M-1 wants to sell tickets. I hope he does retire from M-1. Hate to say this, but Dana White was right. They ruined a man's career.
