yeah he does, he brought in 175K just from the fight alone, i think its dumb he continues to say he is Underpaid, can't blame him for trying to get more money though, hes human
175k is not a lot compared to the top UFC fighters. and its pennies compared to boxers. nick has won 10 or 11 fights in a row and ran through the majority of his competition. he is one of the best fighters in mma today and he deserves to get paid more for it.
diaz should make up for what he got in return ! if i was him i would tell white too get lost and take up that pro boxing contract ! if diaz was lose all his boxing matches he would get paid more 3 times more than ufc heavy champ ! all he needs is a few good fights in pro boxing and he will be able to retire.
hey meat head ! why dont i really care about what you say ! mayweather is running from pac man . who cares what you say . i dont lol . and any ways if diaz wins or loses its pro boxing chump ! do you under stand in oct when diaz vs lacy , win or lose diaz will make a killing in moneys . and if he can put away lacy thats big for him ! diaz will move up the rankings and hold some major titles ! and if in a stand up war i would pick diaz over the lil over rated b!tch called mayweather ! and far as you go and tryn too make fun of what i got you must have sum life homie ! maybe too much time ? well go join a combat sport you clown ! get some confidence and be happy about your self !
Well, that's one way to get a title shot. Dana White has said many times that he likes Nick Diaz and considers him to be the best MMA fighter outside the UFC. I think he will be GSP's next opponent.
Well Nick's fights have been more entertaining lately when you compare them to GSP, Anderson (argueably), Brock, and a lot of others. Well... unless you found Brock getting knocked out entertaining haha!
20 years from now, I see mma becoming a more marketable (due to media better educating the general public) and more profitable sport than boxing, soccer, and American football. That's when the top fighters, like the GSP's and the Anderson Silva's, will start making the "Mayweather/Pacquiao" money.
Many young boys who were supposed to be future potential great boxers, great football players, great soccer players, are all training to make it big in mma. We're going to see alot of freak athletes. Imagine someone like Lebron James at ten years old. Instead of shooting thousands of balls, what if he was kicking the shiit out of heavy bags and rolling around with his buddies due to his love for mma. Many young kids idols nowadays aren't in the NBA,NHL or NFL, they're in the UFC, Strikeforce, or Bellator. Those same kids are going to be the evolution of the sport. They are the ones who will start busting out moves that you thought would only see in the movies.
The negative side of fighters making the multi millions is that we are probably also going to see a lot of fights going to decision. More money and fame means more pressure to win. And that means fighting more safe to win (or as the GSP critics call BORING).
Hopefully everything balances out and MMA will be the greatest sport ever.PERIOD.

I dont think hes the only one underpaid as an mma fighter... everyone in the sport is. Compared other mma fighters, hes not underpaid.
Which other fighters?
He doesn't make as much as the elite UFC fighters. Not even half as much.

The other negative side is we will all have to show respect to our youngsters or they will kick the crap out of us to keep us in line.
Hey I got paid crap doing my first gig as a standup comedian but look at me now I'm a jello eating rich mofo and the best dancer ever
Why not man? every time they step inside that ring or octagon the risk their lives for the entertainment of the people! hehe
I don't think any athlete in any professional sport should be making over a million dollars a year.
Don't watch and they won't make it haha! Entertainers get paid plain and simple.
I know what your sayin. Who you going to need more a doctor or a sports athlete.
