LOL!!! That was funny as hell! The way Urijah was just like "ur great but ure a loser as well" kind of thing....and "You'll have the belt for 4 more months til I come and swipe it from ya" hahahahahahah
Classic!! Hope Urijah backs his talk or it could be one embarassing night for the California Kid who may end up as a Legend of this sport...
i love how the only real bad thing he had to say about cruz is
"i just dont think hes that cool" ha it fits in perfectly with what fabers all about, hes just a laid back guy whose also a conmplete beast in the cage, ill be rootin for him
Cruz is going to pick Faber apart on the stand up and take Faber down at will! you will see! of all Champions Cruz is the last one getting the respect he deserves , so you will all see when he beats Faber!
sure Faber won quickly in the first fight. But it's been a long time and Cruz has improved his ground game drastically. I can't wait to see Cruz win this one. Urijah has really just shown immaturity over the years with what he's said. And I think he doesn't like him mostly cuz before the first fight Cruz said that for Urijah it would be like looking into a mirror but with better hands. Urijah was better on the ground. But i'm expecting Cruz to be well prepared for this fight. I think he trains just as hard, and this could be a total war. But my money's on the dominator.
Cruz likes to run around his opponents and pick his shots. He has been very successful at 135 because he has great takedown defense, has been to quick for his opponents in the stand up game, has a reach advantage over almost everyone at 135, and pushes a pace that nobody has been able to match so far.
However, Cruz is facing by far his toughest test at 135 to date. The only one of the aforementioned advantages he has over Faber is the reach. I don't see Cruz defending Faber's takedowns, at least not all of them, and after he is not going to have any speed and quickness advantage. And Faber is not going to get tired.
Cruz was very successful against Faber's training partner, Joseph Benavidez, who has a style almost identical to Faber's. However, Faber is just a little bigger, stronger, more athletic and more experienced than Benavidez, and I think he will be too much for Cruz.
I see Faber using his strikes to set up takedowns and working ground and pound to get a late round TKO, or a submission if Cruz gives up his back.
Cruz's best chance is to defend the takedown and try to outstrike Faber. He will have to do this in at least 3 of 5 rounds to win a decision though and I have a hard time seeing that.
I think Faber will hold the belt at 135 for a long time, unless Aldo decides to persue his goal of holding 3 belts at once.
Is Randy a pussy for coming down from Heavyweight? Urijah just sees that although he can compete with the best in a bigger division he knows he is small for the division and is more suited to 135 where even there he is medium. Urijah is the farthest thing from a pussy and is the last guy to tap or give a boring or uncompetetive performance.
Urijah did not lose to Aldo due to his size. He lost to to a large deficit in skill. And it is much different for Randy. haha, coming down after fighting Brock. that weight difference is pretty big. Aldo isn't even that big for a 145. He's just amazingly skilled. Urijah just thought this would be easier and quicker to get a belt. And he may be right. But I don't think it'll be easy. Cruz is a way different fighter than he was when Faber beat him.
Rewatch the fight. In the first round Urijah actually gets the better of some of the exchanges and the 1st is pretty close. He even said he did not anticipate the strength of his kicks and did not prepare to avoid them. Aldo had a huge reach advantage on Urijah and it was because he was bigger altogether. Urijah still made a statement to future opponents by showing you have to stop him to beat him. Faber was supposed to be fighting at 135 from the beginning but there was no such weight at his time. Aldo is the best in the lighter divisions but Faber was holding his own before his leg was chopped out from under him too many times even with the shorter reach and smaller frame. Is Diaz a pussy for dropping to 170? Randy wanted to be a heavyweight champ and couldn't do it so he dropped weight because it was not what he could accomplish at the time because of certain fighters having a distinct advantage. I think Urijah would have been more competitive if Aldo was smaller and did not have the reach advantage although I still praise Aldos skills over Urijahs.
Faber all the way!! Fabers no pussy @ warheadchief ur the pussy for talkin shit behinds [removed] is BJ Penn a pussy when he dropped dwn to lightweight n is sherk a [removed] u have no knowledge on MMA so [removed] I dnt think movin dwn to a weight thats a better fit means ur a [removed] I think its just a smart choice y put urself at a disadvantage?? Keep dreaming Faber!
Cruz will dominated your ass! the entire fight!

If Cruz dominates Urijah that will be a real statement.
Faber tapped out Cruz in under 2min the first time they fought, it is a bad match-up for Cruz.
Faber : Cruz :: Mike Brown : Faber

Never been a Faber fan but REALLY want him to finish this fight. Agree 100% with what he says about Cruz- complete tool that guy.
I will official be a Faber fan if he finishes this guy.
I like Urijah but i hate his trash talking. "You're a good looking guy" WTF?!
Cruz is no push over but i don't think he's leaving with the belt.
Faber trash talking? Trash talking is when you get personal and say uncalled for things. Faber is just being honest about how he feels about Cruz.
It's still his way of trash talking or the closest he's gotten to it. All the Alpha Male guys are nice guys.
Faber will take down Cruz and dominate him. This will put an end to the bunny-hopping [removed] antics of Cruz.
That was B*LLSHIT [removed]

hide your kids, hide your wife ...hide that belt
...yeah Urijah cause you're too much of a pussy to try and get better to be Aldo. I hope Cruz stomps you out.
