UFC welcomes back Karo Parisyan; Set to Meet Dennis Hallman on November 20th

Since dropping out of UFC 106 just two days before, Dana White said Karo Parisyan would never fight in the UFC again. Now a year later sources close to the fighter confirm that "The Heat" has been welcomed back to the top organization in MMA. Parisyan blamed an addiction to pain killers, as well as crippling bouts of anxiety as the factors that saw him dropped from the UFC, as he felt forced toforced pull out of a match against Dustin Hazelett on such short notice.

Since being released by the UFC, Karo has only fought once but says he has been training harder than ever. His last fight took place in July where he defeated Ben Mortimer in the first ever Impact FC card. In a post fight interview Parisyan  said that he has apologized to Dana multiple times, he was clean from any drugs and would love to be back into the organization that made him a star. It didnt take long after for Dana to realize that he cant afford exciting fighters like the "Heat" to be going off to Strikeforce and has decided to give him another chance.

In his returning fight Karo will be facing an MMA and UFC veteran Dennis Hallman. The fight will take place at UFC 123 with Rampage vs Machida headlining the event on November 20.

It is true that he is back with the UFC, but there should be a source. I would like to know a source that confirms he dropped out of his bout due to an "addiction to painkillers." I know he tested positive for the painkillers oxymorphone and hydromorphone following his victory over Dong Hyun Kim, which resulted in the bout being called a NC, but as far as that being the reason he missed that match, I do not think that has been confirmed in any way, shape, or form....

i have no doubt that i have seen an interview with karo saying he was battling an addiction to painkillers and thats why he dropped out. He was caught once before and he prob. thought they would kick him out for a second offence so instead he just dropped out

No disrespect, but the guy has caught enough flak over the years... That is not something that has been confirmed. He also has noted anxiety and panic attack issues. So no one knows the true reason he pulled out of that bout.

this isnt where i first saw it but i got this off wiki:

White also stated that he had "a laundry list of excuses". Later that day, Neil Melanson, a longtime friend and training partner of Parisyan's, divulged to MMA news site Five Ounces Of Pain that Parisyan has been battling an addiction to painkillers dating back to an injury suffered while training for a fight

now that may not have been the only reason but it sounds like it was definatlly a factor

I am aware that he has a history with pain killers, but as you have noted yourself, that has never been confirmed as the cause of his withdrawal.

Haha. I have to agree with the others. Karo is way too exciting to not be in the UFC. Glad Dana changed his mind.... again.

That would be awesome. I totally forgot about their TUF spat. I'm surprised D.White didn't pounce on that P.R. opportunity, unless he's considering it as we sepak.

i agreed i don't like the dude. Also Joe Rogan hype him up so much, karo this and that but half the time he fight is looses or win by decision. he does not impress me. i rather see Nick Diaz back with ufc.
