Matt Mitrione continued his impressive run inside the Octagon with KO victory against Christian Morecraft.

Mitrione was better than Morecraft in every aspect of MMA, and was able to land significant punches powerful combinations tht knocked down Morecrat on several occasions. Morecraft managed to survive the first round, but he was clearly out on his feet, and from there, it was a short way for "Meathead" to get the finish.

Matt Mitrione is now 5-0 in his MMA career, and is surely getting closer and closer to being in the mix for a shot at the UFC Heavyweight title. Victory over Morecraft opens new options for Mitrione, with fighters such as Shane Carwin, Roy Nelson and Travis Browne all as potential opponents.

hes only had 6 fights. hes been cleaning scrubs for a reason. they wouldn't throw a future prospect out to a heavy hitter bc of an impressive KO over a bottom tier fighter. browne is gonna fight a gatekeeper, not Kongo this time. Meathead is gonna fight someone mid-level. They hyped Struve too much, and his brain has taken A LOT of serious damage because of fighting people too dangerous for him.

Browne should fight the loser of Nog vs Schaub, Meathead should fight Struve or Barry

Should have been Knockout of the Night. Much sweeter KO than Kongo's, just didn't have the drama but by pure KO standards that was ****ing gorgeous.

Amazing performance by Meathead, maybe a bit light on gas nearer the end but he went pretty hard.

He definitely needs a step up in competition now but there is quite a gap between Morecraft and the next level of opponents.

I would like to see him against someone against Nelson but I think thats to big a jump and too fast, maybe Travis Browne but then again thats knocking off a undefeated contender with great potential.

Right now I'm thinking Cro Cop might be the best option for his leaving party but I have a feeling they won't giev Cro Cop's last fight to Meathead.

I think considering everything else we will and should see Meathead against Congo next, that is a good but not too great step up in competition.

I think Meathead would par nicely with either Mir, Nelson or Carwin. A win on any of those would surely put him on the title mix.

Well, at least most stylish KO of the night. After a series of MM picking Christian apart, he knocks the guy out, and walks away like a stone cold gangsta. He knew Moorecraft was out before the Ref did.
