Former WEC Bantamweight Champion Brian Bowles made a successful UFC debut, defeating Damacio Page via a trademark Guillotine Choke in Round 1. Page went for broke from the first minutes of the fight, with powerful kicks and punching combinations. But Bowles's patient approach paid off, as he managed to weather the storm, hurt Damacio Page with strikes of his own and come out with a victory.

This was first Bowles's fight since losing the title to Dominick Cruz at WEC 47 back in March 6th of 2010. The energetic Bantamweight is currently 9-1 in his MMA career, with 3 KO and 6 Submission victories to his record.
