UFC on Fuel TV: Stefan Struve TKO's Herman in Round 2
Posted on February 15, 2012, 09:38 PM by Anton GurevichTwenty-three year old prodigy Stefan "The Skyscraper" Struve extended his winning streak inside the Octagon to two, this time defeating Dave Herman via TKO in Round 2.
Despite the result, Herman was the one in charge of the action early on, managing to outstrike Struve during round one. Leg kicks were Herman's main weapon, alongside simple, but yet effective striking combinations. Herman connected with his strikes on several occasions, as it looked the victory is heading Pee-Wee's way.
However, Struve started to execute his gameplan in Round 2, with a more aggressive approach that immediately paid dividends. The Dutchman connected with a strong uppercut, knocking Herman down to the canvas. From there, it was a short way for Stefan Struve into a full mount position, and then ground-and-pound that forced the referee to stop the fight.
Stefan Struve is now 23-5 in his MMA career, 7-3 in the UFC. The winner of Kongo vs. Hunt bout could be next for the Skyscraper, as well as the newcomer Stipe Miocic, who was victorious in his bout at UFC on Fuel TV 1.

Struve looked really slow, i know he's a big dude and needs a lot of energy to feed his gigantic body but man, work on cardio slender man.
Wow! I rushed to come on here just to post exactly what you just said.Glad I wasnt the only one thinking that.Too damn slow!I know he's a young, nice guy with a lot of fans but I don't see him hanging in there with the top heavyweights. Not sure what was wrong with Herman tho.Probably couldn't see though all that hair on his face
I wish the main event was 5rounds. #okbye

though i think struve should take his fights more to the ground.
Because his chin is to susceptible to get in brawls and his ground game the best behind werdum nog and mir
His ground game only looks good against guys with terrible ground games.
mccorkle got a decent ground game, ask mark hunt :')
