UFC on FOX Post-Fight Press Conference Video

The event was headlined by Junior dos Santos' UFC Heavyweight title triumph with a TKO victory over Cain Velasquez, while Ben Henderson secured his shot at Frankie Edgar's belt with a clean Unanimous Decision victory over Clay "The Carpenter" Guida.
The press conference is hosted by the UFC President Dana White, who will be sharing the Fight of the Night Bonuses, and his thoughts about the promotion's debut on FOX.

It's going to be a good fight between Jr. and Alistair.... but.. they both gas in the later rounds... if it makes it that far.
So... odds are we will see a Brock/Cain match next year.

yeah i remember that fight i never bought into the cain hype or the lesnar hype or the mir hype or the couture hype they are all extrememly overrated fighters from when the ufc had second tier hw talent but with the accuesition of strike force they pick up overeem cormier bigfoot and barneet which hust takes the hw division to another level when they eventyually make the switch
not saying those fighters werent good, they were just never what the ufc made them out to be

I literally felt sick to my stomach when the crowd booed Cain after his loss. Those people are pathetic and should be ashamed of themselves.

I think Dana had a baby in the post fight wrap up. You know he wanted this to go at least a few rounds for the exposure...can't blame him really...

I have to say that at first blush the Fox show didn't appeal to me.
you have to understand i took martial arts all my life i watched the very 1st ufc live on pay per view this was a big chance to appeal to a larger audience when your a grappler fighting one if not the best striker in your division standing gonigh toe to toe with him is just retarded people who never watched mma befor will say whats the diffnce between this and a boxing match there gloves are smaller borring i dont care to watch it anymore and is just plain stupid all the work that went into this being mian stream is lost cuz cain is a retard
It's not like this was the 1st and last fight being aired on FOX.... the fan base is going to grow... regardless of this fight. Would it have be beneficial for the fight to go 3-5 rounds... of course.... but... I don't think it caused any harm either.

Cain may have good "grappling fighting" but mma fights start standing they don't start from clinch position where the distance is automatically closed. JDS was stopping upwards of 80% of takedowns against him before this fight so for Cain to just blindly shoot for double legs or to try grab a single would have just been a waste of energy. He would have to stand a bang for a bit so that he could use his punches and kicks to set up his takedowns and be unpredictable on them so JDS wouldn't be able to properly time his sprawls.
And like hatch said there is going to be plenty more fights on fox they have a deal signed for 7 years.
Haha dang the fight only lasted a minute! Of course he would have used his wrestling later in the match but you can't blame him for not using it in the first minute!

dos santos is without doubt a great striker and cain got caught. thats what happens, especially in the hw division. that doesn't make him a bad fighter/overhiped. he's probably still the most well rounded guy there. he said he made a mistake. this fight could have gone either way. remember the way cain ko'd big nog? he's got great hands as well. I'm sure he'll be back fighting for the championship for. IMO neither brock nor alistair will be able to beat dos santos. both dos santos and cain are on another level of fighting than those two.

every one s acting like cain didnt try to take jds down, he treid one attempt and failed. you cant just shoot over and over on a top quality fighter like jds. you gotta set them up, and cain didnt get enough time to set up td,s cuz he got knocked out tooo quick.
