Chael Sonnen earned a title shot as well, defeating Michael Bisping, setting up a bout against UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva. Chris Weidman, who took his fight against Demian Maia on less than two weeks notice took home the victory.

What a great card, only disappointing fight was Maia vs Weidman. Sugar looked AMAZING tonight easily the stand out performance and Sonnen vs Bisping was a great fight were Bisping really showed that he is easy a top 10 MW fighter maybe top 5. Personally I actually scored the fight 29-28 for Bisping and had that been a 5 rounder Bisping would have won for sure imo.

I agree on Bisping vs. sonnen being a 29-28 victory for bisping. But I'm happy though because now we will see Silva vs. Sonnen 2. It's just a bigger fight than Silva vs. Bisping.

I think Cub Swanson should of got the KO bonus. That was mouth-piece-flying highlight reel stuff right there. Seeing as Lavar looked like he was twice the size of Beltran, I wasn't super impressed that he was able to KO him like that, but it was brutal none the less.

And I realize it wasnt a pure KO, but Roop was done after Cub's right hand found Roop's jaw.

Lavar had a pure KO of the Mexecutioner! What a way to explode onto the UFC stage!! Yet another Minor league SF fighter showing his lesser skillset and proving to the world that he does not deserve to be in the UFC.

How about some people admit that there is a huge pool of talent from which to acquire talent in the SF waters. Dana has been fishing out some of the best fighters that SF has to offer; and they have been systematically smashing their way into the UFC.

Cub had a very impressive win over the long and lanky Roop. The agression alone was a scary thing to watch. It was good to see him get an impressive win over a game foe.

That calf crush sub looked so freakin painful!! Oliveira put it on that cat.

Overall I think that the prelims blew the main card out of the water.

Rashad and Davis was slightly exciting for a five round fight; but it wasn't the all out war that one would expect of a main event when compared to some of the wars from last year.

Chael and Bisbing was alright, but I think that Sonnen had his hands full with the brash and rude Brit. Maybe he took him lightly. I don't know if Sonnen could have pulled off the victory over Munoz with a performance like that. The fight could have gone either way, it was so close.

And the Mia fight just about put me to sleep! All Mia did was load up the right hand all night with no effect. He looked predictable and slow; and he completly abandoned his BJJ! Made no sense at all.

The 3 fights I watched on fox were horrible. How were you entertained by the Evans vs Davis fight. That fight was horrible, Davis looked nervous with horrible footwork and even worse striking. Rashad looked hesitant and sluggish. Bisping vs Sonnen? other then when Bisping was landing combinations to sonnens face that fight was boring, Sonnen was dead tired after the first round, and laid on top of bisping the whole 3rd. The Maia vs Weidman fight speaks for itself. I wish I got to see the undercard.
