Once again, Dominick Cruz walked outside the Octagon as the UFC Bantamweight Champion. Nicknamed "The Dominator", Cruz dominated the relentless "Mighty Mouse" Demetrious Johnson during all five runds, adding another impressive victory to his record.

Johnson was perhaps the most well-prepared opponent Dominick Cruz has ever faced inside the Octagon. Johnson mimicked Cruz's movement by circling around the Octagon, unleashing sharp striking combinations in process. However, despite being relatively successful on his feet, Demetrious Johnson was unable to execute the core of his gameplan. Dominick Cruz was a much better wrestler, taking down and suplexing Johnson on several occasions, while "Mighty Mouse" struggled to put the Champ on his back.

Dominick Cruz was close to finishing the fight via a Rear Naked Choke on several occasions, but each time Demetrious Johnson showed his amazing heart and skill to keep the fight going.

In the end, Dominick Cruz improves his MMA record to 19-1 and a total win streak of 10. Urijah Faber fights Brian Bowles at UFC 139 in November, gunning for a trilogy with "The Dominator". Don't know how about you, LowKick'ers - but I would love to see Dominick Cruz moving up to fight Jose Aldo instead.

I know Faber is a big draw for the UFC, but it is too soon for a trilogy fight.

Aldo vs. Cruz would be an awesome match up, but I don't think we'll see it until one of them loses their belt.

I don't see Aldo losing in a very long time. He's only 23 and god dammit hes amazing.

I could see Frankie Edgar beating him if he chooses to move down, which he easily could. Like you said, Aldo is amazing, but I doubt he could deal with Frankie's wrestling.

Aldo is tailor made to beat wrestlers, and its not like his takedown defense is sub-par.

faber should have some more fights to prove him self in the bantam weight and deserve a title shot. boring to see the same guys fighting each other several times...

aldo and cruz should have some more title defenses in the UFC and if they keep winning a matchup would be interesting...

There is nothing boring about a rematch of Cruz vs Faber since Faber was doing more damage and only ever so slightly lost the match on points. Faber had Cruz hurt a few times and beat him once before so a 3rd rumble is very intrigueing for me. Cruz is awesome to watch and so is Urijah it just can't be boring. Considering Fabers age he would need to do it sooner than later and I would rather watch it when he is as young as possible.

Cruz landed more strikes and outwrestled Faber, but he did no real damage.

Faber, on the other hand, while he clearly lost the decision for the reasons stated above, knocked Cruz down twice and definitely landed the more powerful shots.

    Falcon makes a valid point.

    You make an incoherent one.
