After three rounds of toe-to-toe battle, Costantinos Philippou grabbed the eighth victory of his Mixed Martial Arts career, this time against the veteran Jorge Rivera.

Philippou managed to control Rivera throughout the fight, thanks to a smart gameplan and an improved ground game. The Cypriot pushed Jorge Rivera to the fence, where he unleashed fury with short elbows and well-timed punches. Philippou was close to finish Rivera on several occasions, but El Conquistador's survival mode proved itself again and again, as the fight went to distance.

In the end, it's a 2 to 1 29-28 Split Decision victory in favor of Costantinos Philippou, who improves his MMA record to 8-2. Philippou bounces back from defeat against Nick Catone, and solidifies his place in the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
