I've always been a fan of Mir but I will be very surprised if he can stop JDS from getting inside and doing major damage early. If he gets rocked the way he did against Big Nog, the end will be quick and brutal.

What JDS said in the bar about Mir seems pretty fabricated, doubt he would say that of his own back. Then again he might just take the whole Nog situation very personally as he is his hero

JDS seems to be a very nice guy. I am glad that he is the champ. I doubt that Mir is able to take JDS down. Even if he does, he would not be able to keep him down. Plus, Mir has no idea about JDS BJJ. JDS is too fast for him and Mir has a weak chin not like Carwin. Mir was rocked by old and slow Big Nog. I would be surprised if Mir wins.

One thing we do know about JDS' BJJ: he's not a black belt. He's training under the Nogueira Brothers, of whom jokes have been made that they give out black belts like candy, and he's still not a black belt. Meanwhile, Mir was submitting top guys like Roberto Traven (multiple time BJJ world champion, 1999 Abu Dahbi champion, 6th degree black belt in BJJ) when he himself was just a purple belt. Trust me, if this fight goes to the ground, JDS is in trouble. He has neither the BJJ expertise to resist Mir's submissions nor the wrestling to control him. He needs this fight to remain standing about as much as Mir needs it to go to the ground.

I predict a short night for Mir. He has a chance, but very, very slim. Poor Mir...

Don't count Mir out. I cant stand the guy personally but if this thing gets to the ground.......

JDS would be wise to avoid it at all costs.....

Actions are much louder than words in this case. If you see Mir's fight there is no way in hell he can win against JDS.
