UFC President Dana White is no fan of Josh Koscheck

Josh Koscheck, what a guy! But, it looks like the Welterweight is still struggling to become one of the most popular fighters in the UFC. Promotion’s president Dana White has recently discussed the embarrassing incident at UFC 113, revealing his thoughts about the current #1 Contender for the UFC Welterweight Title:

"I’m no Josh Koscheck fan. Personally, I think he’s [expletive]. We actually don’t get along very well. I like Paul Daley a lot, but what he did was inexcusable. He walked over to Koscheck and Koscheck could have thought he was coming over to shake hands or congratulate him and he took a cheap shot at him like that.

If you throw a sucker punch like that after a fight in the UFC, I don’t care who you are, you’re done. He’ll never fight for us again. I cut Nick Diaz after he was fighting [Joe Riggs] at the hospital. People are sick and dying and you can’t be in the hospital fighting. I cut the guy even though I know he’s a very good fighter."

Koscheck will next be in action against Pound for Pound King Georges St. Pierre once both have completed coaching at the 12th season of the popular Ultimate Fighter Show.

I agree. Unfortunately, he's going to have to pull out all the acting and illegal strikes if he wants to compete with GSP. Its the only chance he's got!

He doesn't compare to GSP in any aspect of MMA.

agreed, lets just be glad daley didn't somehow win, because daley doesn't compare to kos in any aspect of MMA, so how lob sided of a match would that have been, it would've been a hardy repeat, we should be glad because GSP is facing an actual contender, not a overhyped british clown (next thing you know bisping will be dropping to welterweight for a title shot at GSP)

Actually, he compares well to GSP. He is a mini-GSP. Everything that GSP does 10/10 Koscheck does 7/10. He compares....he just doesn't compare well.

I couldnt agree more. I would love to see Nick Diaz back in the octagon. Effective striking, amazing BJJ, solid chin, and cardio for days ! now if he could just work on his wrestling defense and more importantly his interview skills.

Raze excellent analysis man I agree with you. I personally think koscheck would either beat him by takedowns and ground control or get his ****y ass beat by ko or sub. Gsp has way better takedowns and his head movements is way better then diaz. but I think diaz will win if he pressures gsp

wow, i believe i read those exact words from Dana White about Nick Diaz, that he "doesn't get it" (which was likely about his random, random drug test failures for marijuana)

its really sad to see so many people literally have their thoughts "given" to them by propaganda.

Koscheck's personality doesn't make him a likeable guy............ But his wins in the octagon do make him somebody to look out for. He's beaten Rumble Johnson and now Daley so he's definitely improving his skills as a fighter. However it doesn't matter how much he improves, GSP is way to well rounded for him to stand a chance.

It must be becuz Nate is a lightweight that TKOed Rory ,a welterweight that didnt even make weight for the fight, in the first round. Yeah thats a great reason to cut him. STFU.

One of the reason I like Dana is that he doesn't put out the same bland spin you see from most people in the press.

He even called Kos a "****" at the post fight press conference.

He may be a bit of **** himself, but whatever else you say about the guy, he says what's on his mind, which is a rare thing these days.

Ok I dont blame you DanC454, but I still dont trust the source. Only because for instance the writer says "Or just magnified because MMA is an industry already pegged as "unnecessarily violent" by mainstream haters?" Someone who uses street slang like "haters" in their articles isnt very professional to begin with. I mean I use the term casually, but wouldnt use it in an article I was writing. I guess it just doesnt seem logical for Dana White to take away from Koscheck right now, but anything is possible I guess.

Diaz is a mid-level fighter, not a contender. Koscheck would stroll through his light punches, and his wrestling would negate Nick's JJ. The Diaz brothers land a lot of punches, but there isn't much on them.

Sean Sherk, Diego Sanchez, Joe Riggs, Karo... All beat him.

I have never been a fan of Koscheck since TUF 1, when him and Southworth were acting like ****s towards Leben, apart from that the guy is just generally an arsehole and he really needs to cut them oscar winning performances out because it's getting stupid now, almost every fight, he's also losing a lot of credibility over it. Got to say though i was suprised by his attitude though on the MMA live after show after the event, even going as far as to say he thought they should give Daley another chance, wether or not it was genuine only he knows, personally, i doubt it.......

But what dana didnt mention, after he allegedly cut nick after the riggs fight, nicks fought 3 more time in the ufc, and he left on a 2 fight win streak....and to u douchers that like rattling off his losses in the ufc, he was fighting some big names and all good close fights at the age of 20-23 yrs old...and one thing about the diaz bros, youve never seen them get there asses whooped or knocked out

I agree. I am a fan of the Diaz brothers also, especially Nate. They are both very good but still "young" acting, especially Nick. He just needs to control the temper sometimes. You hear a lot about their punching style being ineffective but I disagree. The light jabs that they constantly throw are done that way on purpose, to set up the other hand, annoy, and distract. Look at how hard Nate was throwing in his last fight against Markham, pretty effective I would say. Their BJJ is top rate, no question about it.

Regardless of the source of the article or whether or not it is completely legit it does not surprise me that he made the comment about Kos. White has never mixed words about how he feels about fighters personally. He even basically said Josh was a **** at the post fight press conference, and Josh is a ****, but he is also a very good fighter and will give GSP a run for his money this time around.
