UFC 143: Nick Diaz vs. Carlos Condit Video Highlights
Posted on February 5, 2012, 11:55 AM by Joey SantosusUFC 143 delivered an exciting line-up last night from the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. Headlining the stacked card was a highly anticipated Welterweight showdown between "The Stockton Bad Boy" Nick Diaz and "The Natural Born Killer" Carlos Condit, who went five-rounds for the interim title and a shot at reigning division champion Georges St. Pierre.
Despite pressing forward, Diaz found his usual high-volume boxing attack stifled, as Condit utilized a wide-range of strikes and movement to outwork and ultimately outpoint the Cesar Gracie Jiu-Jitsu fighter. Now riding a five-fight winning streak, the newly crowned interim champ will await the return of St. Pierre, when the two will go head to head to decide the undisputed Welterweight champion.

Agree but carlos made it pretty clear he didnt want to in post fight presser.reason why he knows he lost and got lucky with shitty judging and knows next time might not be so lucky..IMo
As much I do not like Diaz - he won 3 first rounds in my eyes. Unless I'm blind, which is a possibility :]
The judges only get one chance to score, a fight they dont have the benefit of watching it again, I think they got the dec right
how do you train to fight a greg ackson guy, and act like its gonna be a stand up war.. ignorance on nicks part lost him the fight
Had high hopes for Diaz to take this one...
It's going to be interesting to see how the media machine starts to promote the Condit/GSP fight. No way close to being as marketable as Diaz/GSP.
Will GSP dominate Condit.... should be interesting to watch.

I don't no in what world Diaz thought he won. Yeh co dot was walking backwards but he was landing clean shots at all times, no it wasn't pretty to look at but it was damn effective. Diaz is a great fighter and usually I love the stuff he comes out with, but in my eyes if he's coming out with 'I should have won so I quit' the sport doesn't need him, at the end of the day this is a MASSIVE time for the UFC with cards on FOX and FX and any new fans who were willing to pay for an event after seeing that might be put off. Not to mention Bisping has more valid grounds to cry and spit his dummy out but he never he gave an 'I believe I won' speech and now he's picking himself up for the next fight. Your a grown man nick! Act like it!!
"Natural born Killer" who did not go for the kill. That was something.... I did not expect.
Its starting to be annoying thate either Diaz nuthuggers or guys who don't understand how fights are judged are bitching everywhere
So your a condit nut sucker?
im starting to get annoyed by your gay ass picture popping up in every article, of you and your butt buddy about to make man love, squaring off in a stare down, in your bathroom.
Did it as a joke to put on facebook...
And i forgot your honey badger is so manly
This whole "Condit ran away" crap is getting old...and its only been like 15 hrs since the fight ended. Condit did not "run away", he outsmarted Diaz and stayed out of his trap. And maybe yeah Condit didnt "go for the kill" but he did throw a lot more of a variety of strikes than Diaz. Nick just kept walking forward and wanted to box. Condit was counterstriking left and right with punches, elbows, some spinning sh*t, and he did go for the flying knee a couple times. He outworked and outsmarted Diaz 100% And I am a long time Diaz fan. And honestly, Nick's little speech afterward was pretty pathetic. It reminded me of the immortal words of Eric Cartman..."Screw you guys, I'm going home!"
K I think I'm done now.
he ran away
if diaz would have faught the same way condit has...what kinda fight would we have seen??? it might have been a smart strategy but should be scored differently.
there's a difference between running away and fighting on the back foot. Lesnar after being hit square to the jaw by JDS - running away. Condit making nick fight his fight and not being drawn in - fighting on back foot.
Agree...except one thing...when did Lesnar fight JDS?
condit turned his back and literately ran away more then a dozen times im not making this up its on film he literately ran away which is why im so dumbstruck by people saying he didnt run away or do we just have different definitions of run
Well I'm gonna go ahead and weak myself coz I meant Cain ^o^ lol
this is my honest opinion on the decision... first of all i will admit i am a huge nick diaz fan, but i do like carlos condit also, and this is my opinion. Firstly, i am not gunna sit here and say condit ran "scared" like everyone else, which isnt true, he had a gameplan that worked, and fair enough he stuck too it. But i had diaz winning rounds 1 and 2 pretty comfortable, condit seemed a bit hesitant in those 2 rounds, diaz landed cleaned shots, controlled the pace and had octogan control. Round 3 and 4 condit got into his game and frustrated diaz and took those rounds. So going into the 5th i had it evan. And the 5th round no1 landed anything really signifcant, until 90 seconds to go diaz took him down, and took his back... which i truly thought should have stolen the round. So i had it 3 rounds to 2, for diaz.
Haha fanboys! Hope Diaz goes to boxing and takes his retarded brother and illiterate fans with him.
