UFC 141 Press Conference: Brock Lesnar is the underdog with a "big f---ing bite"

UFC President Dana White, alongside the majority of Friday's main card competitors, were in attendance today at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada for the UFC 141 Pre-Fight Press Conference. A colossal showdown between Heavyweight giants, Brock Lesnar and Alistair Overeem, will headline the stacked card, while top Lightweights Donald Cerrone and Nate Diaz will go head to head in the co-main event. Also featured will be perennial Welterweight contender Jon Fitch taking on rising prospect Johny Hendricks, and veteran Light Heavyweight Vladimir Matyushenko meets Alexander Gustafsson.

UFC 141: Lesnar vs. Overeem Pre-Fight Press Conference Highlights:

Brock Lesnar

• My health is 100-percent, my surgery was a success. If you guys follow the media, that question has been answered about 3,000 times. I feel good, I'm ready to fight.

• The underdog, with a big f---ing bite! Alright?

• I was a former WWE champion. I mean, if you lived in a cave for the last 50-years, you probably think it's real, but it's not, sorry. But, I haven't labeled myself. I go by Brock, the UFC fighter, and you guys can label me whatever you want. I don't give a sh-t.

• I've been a competitor since I was five-years-old. I started wrestling when I was five and street fighting since I was, I don't know, eight. There was nothing much else to do, except go to the next town and scrap and steal other guy's girlfriends. I've had over 100 wrestling matches and I don't even know what my UFC record is, I don't care. As far as I'm concerned, we're both going to step into the cage 0-0 and life goes on. You try to become a better fighter and that's where I'm at.

• We've watched all of Alistair's fights and studied him, and I believe that we've left no stone unturned and we're prepared for everythinging. You can't underestimate anyone is this organization. Somebody is going to enter the octagon and win and somebody has to lose.

Alistair Overeem

• The type of fighter I am, and the type Brock is, we are not the type of fighters that want to go to the second-round. He's going to come in for the kill and so am I. One plus one is two.

• I've been cleaning house overseas. I have a lot of experience, I've been fighting for fourteen years. When I was 19, I had the amount of fights that Brock has now. So I understand the odds a little bit.

• I'm finally in the UFC, basically I've already beaten every one outside, so it was the logical next move. But, I didn't expect it to happen this soon. I thought it would be after the Stirkeforce Grand Prix. The next step is the UFC title, Brock is in the way, and Friday I'm going to beat him. ... UFC title will be the crown of my career. But, lets not look ahead of Brock Lesnar and what comes after, comes after. The UFC title is on my list.

• He will have to stand up with me because he isn't going to get that takedown. I can tell you that Pat Barry is not on my level with striking.

Donald Cerrone

• Just getting my mind right, I wasn't mentally ready. Those (losses) were big fights. It was just getting my hands, my brain, and everything working together - and Friday they will.

• I've been watching Nate and his brother (Nick) for a long time. No matter what, they throw down.

• The confrontation was there, words were said, the fight is happening on Friday. It's on, we're going to dance.

• The last couple of days, the media has directed it towards me that way. If that's what he needs to do to fight, then ok - love me, or hate me.

• I'm super excited. Biggest show of the year, closing out the year with a bang. Two stand up warriors, I can't wait.

Nate Diaz

• I think he made it a little more than what it was. I just walked the other way. I train hard, I come to fight, and that's what I came here to do.

• I'm happy everybody came out for the show. I'm glad, Friday night, I get to showcase my skills for everyone here in Vegas and represent my team at Cesar Gracie Fight Team and the UFC. Thanks for coming out, I appreciate it.

• I'm training really hard, kickboxing, boxing, all of the time - everywhere. So, we're going to have to see what happens Friday night.

• We're going to have to see (who is better on the ground), but I train with top level jiu-jitsu guys.

Yup and Nate looks like a coward knocking the hat off/pushing right when Dana is already stopping the stare down.

I am now even more sure that Cerrone is going to tear Nate apart

I love the Diaz bros so I'm rooting for Nate to pull of the W and I love it when the DIaz bro do stuff like this or basically any MMA fighter does stuff like this, it just makes the fight even more interesting like the Wand/Rampage III, Diaz/Shamrock etc so cant wait for the fight

You are more sure...because of a staredown?

These guys are world class athletes, it doesn't matter who's pissed or who "looks like a coward" the guy with the better skills will win.

Agreed! Bones looks scared at every staredown he's in. Heck he usually doesn't even participate in the face-off; his eyes wander off into the horizon. And every one here knows that he brings his "A" game come fight time. I know this and I'm not even a fan of his.

    Mousasi.

Yes because of the stare down. Making someone mad is going to either do one of two things. Light the fire even more or get in someone's head.

Its not just who has better skills wins. It is who can apply those skills the most in that one night. Its performance based. Fighters have their off nights, they have their focused great nights too.

You forgot the third, and most probable thing that getting someone mad could do: absolutely nothing.

Aggravating your opponent does affect performance. Its not neutral.

Just set a goal for yourself and add motivation and maybe you will find out for yourself :)

Actually Nate punked him. I live where theres cowboys everywhere, and many are dicckheads like Cerrone who think their crap smells like roses . I hope the city boy brings him back to reality even though I feel odds are a bit slim.

DLS how exactly is knocking a hat off and shoving someone a coward? A coward would be afraid to do that. Your fighter hate is clouding your judgement.

Yeah, even though Nate pushed Donald, Cowboy moved back like a foot and Nate was almost off the stage ready to run. Lol. You can't deny the Diaz brothers talent in the ring, but Paul Daley got the boot quick and this isn't too far off of that.

Chael Sonnen's actions are far different than Diaz's actions, if you dont know that than you need help....

He wore his shirt once in that photo and now he likes to wear it? Idk about that.....

And I am a Sonnen fan... doesnt mean I have to be a Diaz fan just because Sonnen trained with him for a bit.....that would mean I have to be a fan of the hundreds of other fighters he has trained with.

What baffles me is you agree that Nate is a punkass, and you even call him a coward... But yet Sonnen is all good in you're eyes wearing the Nick T-Shirt.... But yes you're right, Sonnen actions are on another level then Diaz... Sonnen is steroid junkie, a racist and a thief.. But yet his not a punkass or a coward in you're eyes I bet..So who is the one who needs help....According to Dana White, the Cerrone-Diaz dust-up was started by Cerrone telling Diaz he was going to 'get in that ass.'..........So no surprise for Nate to react the way he did.. So what do say about Cerrone action... Or is this just hate for Nate Diaz...

@GoldenBibi thats a great point, theres alot of double standard in MMA n it is true that the whole thing was basically cause by Cerrone, u cant say stuff like that to a Diaz bro n not get pushed

My comment was made before anything was said about Cerrone saying anything so it looked like Nate was acting like a coward and hiding behind Dana. Emphasis on looked.... And how can you come back acting like you have known this information from the get go. They announced what Cerrone said way after our first comments so no reason to act like you knew Cerrone was in the wrong from the get go.

And yeah Nate is a punk. He and his brother act like one. If you cant see it then you require a helmet.

Nate isnt a coward, hes a mma fighter but im saying he LOOKED like a coward from what the video/audio displayed.

And Sonnen is neither of what you just said, he doesnt take steroids, he goes through TRT. Whether its needed is another thing of its own. And how many people can say they never made a racist joke before? Yeah? gtfo with that racism. And a thief? Exactly who was he scamming? If you cant tell me exactly who he was stealing from then gtfo with that too. Its possible he could have tried to steal from someone or some group, but its possible it was something else entirely.

It's obvious that you're blind with hate... Nate and Nick acts like punks, but Sonnen acts cool in you're eyes when talking about slapping Anderson Silva wife ass... Also a liar.. Saying what he said about Lance Armstrong then denying it....You are just making him look even worst........ You truly need help... Nuff said.

How do you know I agreed that what he said about Silva's wife was cool?

On the Lowkick wall or a comment I said I didnt like that he brought Silva's wife into this.

Sonnen did lie about the Armstrong thing. He said it was some hispanic guy.....if you think that he really thought that would get people off his back then you need to wipe the hate off your brain and realize he probably just tried to market himself.

If anyone is making anyone look worse here....its you making your own self look bad. Jumping to conclusions doesnt get you anywhere.

I'm a big Nate fan and I understand this is fun and hype for them both but Nate is getting into the personality junk that Nick does and is starting to take that aspect too far. Marching around with that pouty angry face reminds me of my little sister having a tantrum.

This should be 5 rounds... Alot of people keep saying Cowboy is gonna knock him out... Well ive never seen either Diaz get KO'ed so i highly doubt it. Diaz two last losses were decision losses by getting grinded out by bigger 170 pound grappler/wrestlers and they had control most the fight and couldent get a finish... NOBODY has ever finished Nate Diaz !

His record would look better if the Judges didnt screw him in the Guida fight or the Maynard fight... Just look at those fights and see who got beat up... How can a take down win the fight ? It dont hurt at all, and if you dont do any damage why on top... Then why get points ?

Frustrating to watch a guy on the bottom going for subs, getting back up, overall just being busy... Then lose to a guy that laid on top and didnt do anything, not even sub attempts.

Diaz VS Cerrone FIGHT OF THE NIGHT ! 3 round WAR ! Cant wait !

It was a rant; but it was an articulate rant. I agree with you whole-heartidly bud. I just asked the same question the other day; when was the last time anyone saw Nate not make it to the second round? I couldn't think of a fight he's been stopped in and neither could my brother who was with me at the time.

I've seen Nick get KO'ed and faceplant against Paul Daley. Too bad Herb Dean wasn't there to stop the fight. If he had, instead of fighting for the interim title, they'd probably be feeding him to Fitch.

It seems like Nate is a lil bit nervous about this fight with Cowboy. He is pretty laid back until they get face to face. Then he seems to lose control a little bit.

I can relate to him not wanting to be friends with other fighters after hearing what he said about the other guys he's faced. He met them and became friends with a few; then he found out he was gonna fight them. So he tries to keep his friends reduced to guys he trains with and such.

There's nothing wrong with that. I think that the Cowboy is blowing this thing out of proportion a tiny bit. So it made Nate a lil jumpy at the face off when he flicked off the Cowboy's hat. Damn that nervous energy!!

They have differant styles of striking. I don't think that Barry is quite as crisp with his punching style that the Reem is. I'm sure that Barry has plenty of power, but I don't think that he has as much speed as Alistar. While Pat Barry is a talented striker, I don't think he is as talented as Overeem. I love watching Barry fight though!!

I don't wanna play down overeems striking. it IS elite. But I think people are underestimating pat barry because of his loss to kongo. kongo won like by the definition of a lucky punch. And I'm refering to pat barrys striking not his overall game. He sure as hell has like the worst ground game ever

Lesnar is such a dousch! He misinterprets questions in a way that he thinks people are on his case, for example Ariel's question about WWE. He's that much of a meathead he can't comprehend a question that's trying to dig a little deeper and assumes Ariel's trying to have a dig... His stupidity and ignorance does my head in lol, hope Reem *ucks him up!
