UFC 140: Antonio Rogerio Nogueira TKO's Tito Ortiz in Round 1
Posted on December 10, 2011, 09:25 PM by Anton GurevichAntonio Rogerio Nogueira won his third fight inside the UFC Octagon, this time against Tito Ortiz via TKO in Round 1.
Despite the result, it was Ortiz who opened well; The self-proclaimed People's Champ let his hands go during the first minutes of the fight, pushing Nogueira to the fence after connecting with a few good strikes. Ortiz was effective also at the fence, displaying some highly effective dirty boxing skills, as it looked like Little Nog is in trouble.
However, the situation changed when the Brazilian landed a left hook that made Tito Ortiz to cover up at the fence. Nogueira continue to throw punches, ending up with a clean knee that knocked down the former Huntington Beach Bad Boy. The referee Yves Lavigne gave Tito Ortiz all the time in the world to recover, but after a rain of devastating ground and pound strikes, the Canadian official stopped the action.
When asked abut his possible retirement, Tito Ortiz declared he wants the last fight on his UFC contract after taking some time off. Ortiz is now 16-10 in his MMA career, winning only once in 5 years.

Broken ribs = Game Over
.... winning only once in 5 years=game over
Wonder what's gonna happen with Tito's career now... And who's next for Lil Nog?
I would kill to see Shogun vs Lil Nog rematch, makes sense to me cause both are top 10 fighters n there arent too many other options n as for Tito, I think he should fight Griffin, hes said before he wants to fight him for his retirement match
That's twice in a row Tito's been tko'd by body shots. Really, how often do you see this. Hope he does better in his next fight, but I'm sure his opponents will exploit this.
Tito is better than people give him credit for. He just doesn't seem to have the drive anymore. I think he's getting laid too much. Yeah, Jenna's taking the fire out of him.
throw in the towel tito...
He looked strong at the start and came out aggresive but as soon as he gets caught it' really game over if the opponent is aggresive enough. Good win for Lil Nog, LOVED how he mixed up the G&P, first time I've seen a TKO due to elbows to the body. Like how a guy known for boxing and BJJ wins by G&P, showed his well roundedness
Hate Tito, he s WAY overrated! hope he quits and is gone forever!!
I like Tito but it's time to throw in the towel. One more fight, hopefully he'll go out with a win.
This one made my night
by no means i hate Tito but i admit i do dislike him
and i never got into the hype of his comeback or return
i knew he would not beat Nogueira or any other fighter
In or close of the Top 10.
Also i am happy to see Lil Nog get a win in the UFC
i feel he got rob vs Davis and Bader so him getting a win
means he will stay in the UFC and keep his quest to the top.
Tito looked pretty good the first couple of minutes. He had me going there. Then it was over; he is just getting too old.
i think that chuck and tito should do it again one more time, for their last fight...
Tito should be on the preliminary fight card ...bam bam
