UFC 139: Martin Kampmann gets back on track with a Split Decision victory over Rick Story
Posted on November 19, 2011, 09:18 PM by Anton GurevichOctagon veteran Martin "The Hitman" Kampmann bounced back from a series of disappointing decision losses, with a convincing performance against Rick Story at UFC 139.
Kampmann displayed improved wrestling skills, managing to stay in control throughout the fight. Story was "spamming" a wild right hook during the fight, but Kampmann managed to stay away from getting knocked out, responding with superb takedown ability and good positioning on the ground.
Story went full throttle during the last seconds of the fight, scoring two takedowns and a few ground and pound moments. However, in a moment that pretty much summarized the fight, it was Kampmann who got himself into a dominant position by getting The Horror's back. Saved by the bell.
In the end, Kampmann scores a Split Decision victory, as one of the judges had Story winning 29-28 on his scorecards. The Dane is now 18-5 in MMA, with sights on moving closer to a shot at the UFC Welterweight strap.

Comments
Other than the huge upset pick of Brilz over Bader, I am 4 out of 5 with Hendo and Rua comingy on now. To all the people who weaked my comments all week and thought I was nuts, Its not personal, nor am I gloating. Itry hard to be respectful and give merit to everyones posts and opinions, unless they act like a tool. A few of you said they would man up if they were wrong, particularly with silva vs Le. fight. You canPM me rather than post it inperson.

His striking looked crisp and clean and hsi wrestling looked brilliant, TD and TDD.
