UFC 136: Edgar vs. Maynard III - The Great Debate
Posted on October 4, 2011, 11:10 AM by Joey SantosusThis Saturday night reigning Lightweight Champion Frankie "The Answer" Edgar will put his belt on the line against Gray "The Bully" Maynard in the UFC 136 headlining bout. The Championship clash will be a rematch of their January 1st title fight, which after five-rounds of back and forth action was declared a draw.
Following a lopsided opening-round, during which Edgar was repeatedly dropped at the hands of "The Bully," the champ rallied back from the brink of defeat to even the odds on the judges' scorecards. However, while the ringside officials may have declared it a draw, spectators of the Lightweight war have since expressed differing opinions. So, what's the word LowKick'ers? Are you team Edgar or team Maynard?

AT LAST! a rubber-match 8 months in the making for the championship! Well worth the wait though, great card, great matchups, 2 championships, 1 top contender fight + another rubber match between pham and garcia! SO PUMPED!
edgar all the way
I really, really hope Edgar wins. Maynard is such a whiny baby. Getting handed an uncontroversial loss for the first time in his career might shut him up for a while.
I really think Edgar is a better, more complete fighter. Edgar should put together a solid split decision but could definitely get knocked out. Terrible video by the way.
Terrible video? Did it not work for you or something? It wasn't supposed to be an Emmy Award winning piece lol
lol thats it we're not going to gymnastics classic!
lol forrest is 1 funny dude
This is a tough 1 edgar by decision
I think Edgar is the better all round fighter and I hope he wins just because of how Maynard reacted after the draw. Edgar hopefully will not get caught this time, but a win for either will be no surprise.
I am glad, finally, there's no idiot stating what a snoozefest this will be and that ya'll are looking forward to it.
the "james toney ruling the heavyweight" part cracked me up =))
It's over for Frankie. He almost died in the first round last time. Maynard for the kill. Maynard new champ.
