UFC 134 Results: Edson Barboza outpoints Ross Pearson
Posted on August 27, 2011, 09:28 PM by Anton GurevichEdson Barboza extended his winning streak to 9-0, this time defeating Ross Pearson via split decision at UFC 134.
TUF 9 winner Ross Pearson was Edson Barboza's toughest test to date. Pearson controlled the Octagon, displaying improved and deeper set of striking skills. The Brit landed more strikers in Round 1, but it was Edson Barboza who went in full force after the break with a vicious leg kick - hook combo that knocked down Ross Pearson. "The Real Deal" quickly recovered quickly, but still found himself behind Barboza during the rest of Round 2.
Both fighters had their moment in Round 3. Pearson re-gained Octagon control, and started to land more strikes, but Barboza responded with another knocked down, and a few more at the fence that put an exclamation point over his performance. In the end, it's a 29-28 Split Decision in favor of the Brazilian, who moves one step closer to a shot at the title.

Barboza won that decision.
Wrong fight dude ^
In all honesty, would have been cool with a split decision either way. Both fighters showed great talent. There may be a winner on paper, but in reality, there is no real loser.
STOPTROLLING.
You are either a troll or stupid as you have posted this on multiple subjects nothign to do with the Silva Okami fight.
thought Ross would have won this won, prolly just gave it to the brazilian so that all brazilians would have won 2nite
Barboza is definetly breaking into the better fighters in the division and even though he didn't dominate tonight he looked very good against a tough opponent in Pearson. I exect big things to come from Barboza and his every improving game in the near future.
Pearson's stock also rose in my mind by turning up as a huge underdog and being expected to get destroyed but turned it into a very tough and entertaining fight, going forward untill the final bell. Pearson is also every improving and still looked good in his loss.
I'm calling for Barboza vs. Cerrone now.
