On September 24th, Jon "Bones" Jones (13-1) will step inside the Octagon as the UFC Light Heavyweight Champion for the first time in his career. The man standing against Jon Jones will be Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (32-8) - PRIDE legend and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion. This fight will headline UFC 135 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado, the city where it all began.

In the co-main event of the night, UFC Hall of Famer Matt Hughes will square off against the former UFC Welterweight title challenger Josh Koscheck (and not Diego Sanchez as pictured on the poster). The card will also include a Lightweight contest between Nate Diaz and Takanori Gomi, as well as the Heavyweight bouts between Ben Rothwell and Mark Hunt, and the unbeaten Travis Browne vs. Rob Broughton.

UFC 135 Weigh-Ins will take place on Friday, September 23rd at 4PM EST

As much as I'd love that to happen, that's like hiring the Madagascan army to take down Moscow. Rampage has got to be the underdog in this fight. His striking is less dynamic, his wrestling doesn't look as impressive, he's shorter, slower, less athletic and looks less versatile than Jones.

If Rampage does it though I'm pretty sure those guys in the space station will be able to hear me cheer.

Well said man, its like you looked in my brain and took the right words to explain the situation. In my dream world I'd love for rampage to get that knockout but in reality its very unlikely. Jones is younger, faster, got that ridiculous reach and a more dynamic fighter. Hey but this is MMA!!

a little piece inside of me died watching 1:10 and again on 3:13.

Seeing this, it safe to say that Jones might do the same to Jackson -

but, I'll go on and root for the 3% puncher's chance that Rampage has to KO Jon Douche-Bones Jones.

Jones has all the tools, but Rampage can hurt him at the very beginning. Just like Jones did to Shogun or Cormier to Silva.

I was just thinking, this has to be Rampage's last title shot. He is 33 and has said repeatedly that he will definitely retire at 35. In the next 2 years, there will realistically be 4 to 6 more LHW title fights. If Rampage loses, there will be several fighters, such as Rashad, Shogun, Machida, Hendo, or even Davis or T. Silva with a couple more wins.

Of course, there are other interesting fights for him - rematches with Forrest, Rashad and Shogun, but I would love to see him win the title back.
