UFC 132 Results: Carlos Condit makes a statement against Dong Hyun Kim
Posted on July 2, 2011, 08:38 PM by Anton GurevichThe Natural Born Killer Carlos Condit returned to the Octagon against the unbeaten South Korean prospect Dong Hyun Kim. Despite having his last fight back at UFC 120, Condit went for broke against Kim with aggressive approach, which later proved itself as a fight-winning factor.
After short minutes of chasing the Stun Gun around the Octagon, Carlos Condit unleashed a vicious flying "scissor knee" that knocked down Kim at the fence. From there, it was a short way for Condit to finish his opponent with a vicious ground and pound, at official time of 2:59 of Round 1.
Carlos Condit improves his MMA record to 27-5, having four-fight winning streak inside the Octagon. Speaking during his post-fight interview, NBK demanded a shot at the UFC Welterweight title, and now it really looks like the former WEC fighter is the #1 Contender at 170.

Extremely impressive, I had no doubts that Carlos was the more "talented" fighter but expected the better wrestler to "out position" the more talented fighter on his way to decision.
kim came to strike and he got put away.
Rematch with Rory Macdonald !!!!
Very deserving for a title shot and its way overdue
Agreed. He is one of the few fighters I can see giving GSP problems at 170.
I can't beileve i doubt Condit!
i mean theres never been the question in my mind
about him being one of the best WW i always said he is very underrated
I was all day changing the picks from Condit Sub to Kim Decision
I didnt even remember how it stay at the end, all i care is he won
by amazing KO and he needs to fight for the title Soon!
the gun got stunned
Awesome..
FFk diaz's weak ass give the shot to carlos and send nick back to SF where he can beat bums and talk tough i want to see someone actually put up a fight against gsp
GSP likes to surprise guys and/or take them to where they are weak. Diaz has better hands than GSP and is dangerous off of his back. Where does that leave GSP? If he stands with Diaz he is at risk and if he tries to wrestle him he is at risk. Diaz has shown difficulty with wrestlers in the past but he has been working with Shields for years and now he is working with Sonnen. Is he going to be as susceptible to being smothered as he used to be? I think Diaz could end up being one of GSP's hardest fights.
it should be diaz vs. condit for #1 contender
Condit is too technical
I went against Condit, wish I hadn't/
Dammit that knee was flush!
I'm really surprised with how well he handled the grappling especialy with the sweep.
Next opponent is going to be a top 5 WW someone like Fitch or maybe Penn for a great battle.
was very happy with this result. Condit is an awesome fighter...a real fighter.
Deserves a title shot however timing may not allow it. Maybe he can fight Jon Fitch, i like to see blankets get torn apart just like tonight.
