Former WEC Lightweight title challenger Donald "The Cowboy" Cerrone won his second consecutive bout in the UFC, this time dominating the Brazilian debutant Vagner Rocha in the main card opener of UFC 131 in Vancouver, Canada.

Cerrone perfectly maintained distance with powerful leg kicks, and a good jab that prevented from Vagner Rocha to execute his grappling gameplan. The Brazilian constantly tried to pull guard on Donald Cerrone, but the Cowboy managed to defend those attempts. Still, Cerrone decided not to go for broke against Rocha, even when the Brazilian was knocked down on the canvas.

Donald Cerrone improves his MMA record to 15-3, but it looks like he will still have to win two more fights inside the Octagon, decisively, to get into the mix for a shot at the UFC Lightweight title.

Good performance but I was annoyed at how tmid and little he engaged, the match was basically 15 minutes of leg kicks and filed take down attempts. Joe was right, Cerrone could've finished
