Pretty good trailer - I like how they introduce Jake by going over some of his accomplishments. It's too bad they won't matter when the best WW in the world shows him what striking means.
The UFC finally knows how to build hype without bullshit. This fight is gonna be an amazing display of technique on both sides. I just hope whoever wins can get the finish.
Sure this helps to sell the card, but i do find it a little lame when fighters do promo's together in the same scenes when they will be fighting eachother, the rivalry, competition and the aspect of wanting to beat the other guy down seems less genuine. Strikeforce did that a lot with fighters facing off to eachother then both looking at the camera at the same time. Simply put, it's acting for a sport that supposed to be real.
While it's a bit cheesy, if you think they are "acting" and there is no tension when your staring down your future opponent, your crazy.
That's like saying it's not genuine when they bring them in the ring face to face before title fights (like tonight with Rashad, or when Shogun showed up after Bones last fight)
It's enough they do the staredowns at press conferences, weigh ins and before the fight, but its a bit much to keep doing it for commercials (there would be many take of it aswell)
Because the masses knows who GSP is. He doesn't need as much introduction. Shields came from a smaller promotion which didn't get as much coverage when Shields was there, so they're trying to let mainstream fans know who this guy is and why he is worthy.
Also! this more on shake shields because really half of the ufc fan dont know who he is...but if your a MMA fan you know who this guy is and you know what he can do...he is no joke! But still GSP is GSP...

Cheesy but I loved it.
The fact that they would work together to film the spot tells you they are classy guys. It'll be a shame one has to lose (Shields, I think).
