This is not the Shogun I saw against Machida. Credit to Jones but definitely Shogun last night was not even the half he was against the Dragon Machida...Seems like he did not train for this fight.
I agree. I had Jones to win but Shogun looked slow like when he fought Forest and Colemen. I think he would have lost to any top opponent last night.
oh please, that fight was a Jon Jones highlight reel. I can't believe how stupid your comments sound. I swear you idiots must be all Fedor fans, just endless excuses.
I saw the fight live you idiot!! and this is not a highlight video at all! if so the full fight would be a Jones video fight as Shogun did nothing!! NOTHING!! i like Shogun but i have to say that he was a piece of shit on that fight!
Your profile pic explains everything.
Shogun was taken down in the first rd and pounded to the body. Look at how many elbows to the body he took, plus a few punches and knees to the body. He was just controlled and dominated on the ground and wore out. He's fine as long as fighters back up and he can pace the fight. But as Jones said, anytime fighters go after him, Shogun breaks. Check out the end of the fight as the ref pulled Jones off, Shogun was tapping like crazy. Shogun was completely outclassed and dominated in this fight.
It sucks that there will always be a question about the knees and the lay offs but i know what your saying. he did look a little loose round the mid section and slower than normal.
i said this on a previous post but i think he could make 185 and destroy! vitor first and if he gets past, bisping for shits and giggles then anderson silva!!
bones is the man
and why wouldn't shogun have trained....he was the underdog
I agree, I don't know if he was in bad shape, or maybe he got hit with something early and wasn't the same, but it was surprising how he gassed out. I think maybe its just ground fighting that does it to him who knows.
All Shogun did in that fight was put bruises on Jones' elbows.
@mark-renton oh c'mon shut the f**k up and just accept that Jon Jones is "way" too f**king better than Shogun... he was not like himself because Jones already kicked his ass in 1st round...
I like Shogun but yes Jones was the man!
oh c'mon..... shut the f**k up and just accept that Jon Jones is "way" too f**king better than Shogun... he was not like himself because Jones already kicked his ass in 1st round...
Wow the excuses make me laugh. He's the champion people, he trained, and he was ready.... and incase your blind, he looked just as fast as he usually does right up untill the point where jones hit him with those knees while he was trying to get to his feet. From then on something clearly got taken out of him.
Please, be true to yourself and stop playing stupid. Jones is something special in this sport, he seemed to make the right decision every single time they engaged. It was amazing to watch.
Stop with the excuses. You all sound stupid. We watched the same fight as you. They were both ready, and jones came out ontop.
why didn't they show the illegal knee to the head?
Because there wasn't one.
