I like BJ alot but i think he just can't stop fitch from taking him down and ends up losing with decision. Riviera vs bisbing is going to be intresting and sotiropolous will probly submit siver.
Although fitch has the size advantage and is a phenominal wrestler, he doesnt have anywhere near the standup that bj does and the thing that makes this interesting is that bj is a world champion jui jistu blackbelt so even if huge fitch gets the takedown and lies on him which I expect will happen, he still has alot to be worried about IMO. I think bj will find a way and get the sub
i got my ticket to 127 and im as keen as alistair overeem with a pony sandwich to go to the fan expo, but i dont know where its being held etc, could someone please help me if they know details ?
im sorry, but i dont see how bj is "on fire" by knockin out someone who is, no offense, way past his prime, right after he got dominated two times in a row. im not sayin he isnt an amazing fighter but i dont see how that one win puts him right to the front of the line. fitch is like okami, both keep gettin screwed for their deserved title shots. im sry but ill have to pull for fitch on this one, ive always been a fitch fan and he deserves his second title shot.
All talent barely any work ethic vs all work ethic barely any talent....a match for the ages
Can BJ penn compete in the hugging division without being hugged into possible retirement? If he avoids getting hugged by fitch, will it only be to get hugged AGAIN by GSP? Will jon fitch put me to sleep again?
I am kinda bummed that Lytle vs. Condit is not on, since that was a sweetner to this card, but I am interested in the main card.
BJ should be training for the knees to the head to try and catch Fitch--he knows he's gonna try.
At 23-3, Fitch has one of the most impressive records in MMA, against quality opponents. He would have been the WW champ years ago, if not for GSP, and he would still be champion today. I put him in the top ten P4P fighters, that is, if you judge P4P by wins against quality opponents, not entertainment value. (Personally, I find his fights entertaining, but I am acutely aware I am in a minority)
Unfortunately, decisions have haunted an otherwise exemplary winning record. I don't expect him to be a completely different fighter this time around, but I do believe he is going to try harder to finish--he is not happy himself with his record of decisions.
Bisping vs. Rivera is OK--I am mildly interested.
G-Sot vs. Siver is the fight I am truly interested in. Siver seems to have worked hard on his ground game and was impressive against Winner recently in Germany.
Australia is still the poor cousin when it comes to UFC fight cards, but gradually, the cards are getting better down under. To bad about Condit.
whens the last time you saw bj submit someone from his back?
99% of his subs start with a big right hand, drops em, jumps into mount, takes the back and once hes got the back hes a specialist. so most likely if he gets put on his back by as good a wrestler as fitch he wont be able to sweep. but if he can dictate the pace and not gas out i think his takedown defence is good enough to last maybe till the second round. if it happens like that he should get the descision.

I've heard a lot of people complain about this card but Fitch vs Penn is really interesting to me.
that`s should be 1st 5 round main event
Why? Penn's corner would just call the fight after the 4th anyways...
lol.
he failed to mention that one didn't he? lol
can someone please give Bisping a title fight so he can shut up complaining and be beaten up by Anderson Silva
Haha I agree! Damn that got me rolling!

This won't be a bad fight if BJ actually trains.
BJ better KO him. Im sick of hearing "hes back" and "he wans't motivated", hes a great fighter i just want to see him put in a solid effort and fight.

Fitch via decision
Bispind via knockout or decision
Sotiropoulos via submission

"The question is can I finish BJ Penn"
Dude, can you even finish your breakfast?
bisping: they have all said their gonna knock you out.. youve heard it all before and their always wrong... except dan henderson........
people seem to think that if BJ gets taken down its over. Well correct me if I'm wrong but I believe BJ's got some decent BJJ???(sarcasm folks)

NOT TOO EXCITED TO WATCH FITCH HUG AND LAY ON BJ AND DO NO DAMAGE FOR 3RDS...HOPEFULLY BJ KNOCKS HIM OUT QUICK OR SUBMITS HIM!
yeah cause he does no damage...
very tough to utilize the open/closed/butterfly guard when you have as good of a bjj/wrestler as fitch. will be very interesting.
