UFC 126 Wrap-Up and Bonuses
Posted on February 6, 2011, 01:06 AM by Joey SantosusUFC 126 in Las, Vegas Nevada delivered another exciting night of fights. Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva defeated Vitor Belfort in stunning fashion, knocking out the challenger in the opening round to retain his title. Meanwhile, Light Heavyweight star Jon "Bones" Jones officially graduated from prospect to contender, defeating Ryan Bader via second-round submission to surprisingly become the new number one contender, while both Forrest Griffin and Miguel Torres also picked up important victories.
At the event's post-fight press conference Dana White spoke regarding the future of Silva, confirming that the super-fight between "The Spider" and Welterweight Champion Georges St. Pierre will in fact be next if GSP wins his next bout with Jake Sheilds. When asked about Yushin Okami, who was previously named number one contender after defeating Nate Marquardt, White said only, "Okami's going to be pissed."
The UFC awarded generous $75,000 bonuses to the night's top performers, who were announced by Dana White immediately following the event.

anderson easily beat GSP
i love that. "anderson easily beat gsp" thats a full message? i think your missing out on the whole reason of WHY. gsp has wrestling as good as sonnen and WAY better sub defense. not saying gsp would win but im not saying silva would for sure either
easier fight than vitor for anderson guys GSP might last a little longer but will get knocked out
gsp has good wrestling skills like sonnen but he doesnt have the power sonnen has
Now thats the real Bigfoot Silva
Do you think GSP v Silva would top 2million PPV - I think it would !!!
I also think both will end up in the ER post that fight.
Silva reminds me of kung fu panda in this photo...
