His face is all chubbed out. That's so when he gets K.T.F.O. in his next fight his face will have some nice cushion when it hits the mat.

His arms and his chest look bigger that they usually do on fight night but that could be due to when the pics were taken. If he has put on a substantial amount of muscle it could really hurt his weight cut and his cardio.

Good one Forest. On the right day, on the right moment I could imagine all MW fighters could beat Anderson (i.e. get a lucky shot). The problem is that right day and right moment is hard to come by with a fighter as good as anderson silva.

I am going with Anderson RD 2 KO.

I believe that Vitor really wants the fight on the ground, and he will try to take Anderson Silva down a lot more than most of us may think, therefore I can really see him getting submitted in round 2 or 3 after he runs out of gas.

He might want to take it down for a GnP session which is a strong point of his and AS looked a little frustrated when Chael was doing it to him so maybe thats the plan. I still pick AS to win but Vitor has got the ability to catch the Spider on the right day and time.

yeah BUT there's a difference between sonnen's takedowns and belfort's. silva's takedown defence isn't as bad as some would make it out to be. the 2 guys that took him down, hendo and sonnen, are 2 of the best wrestlers in the sport.

Yeah you're probably right but it wouldn't surprise me if he tried since Randy is camp of choice. Randy is typically the guy to get done what can't be done so it may very well be what Vitor is training for. a GnP that is.

I feel how Carwin showed the blue print to beating Brock, Chael showed the print for beating Silva. I see Belfort putting the Spider under pressure early in the fight and capitalizing were Shonnen wasnt able to. Vitor 1st round KO.

Too bad Vitor doesnt got the wrestling credentials to hold anderson down when he starts picking him apart. I give Vitor a big chance, but my guess is that Anderson will overcome the early rounds and finish him in the later rounds after those super sayjin muscles of Vitor are tired.

Fedor 6,0-Cain is 6,1- Anderson 6,2.Anderson schuld fight Cain atr his natural sise and get killed

I really have no issue with people cutting a lot of weight to fight in the division where they are the most competitive. The onus is on them to make weight, and ensure they are able to perform at their best in the cage. Often after a large weight cut, fighters have no cardio so a big cut can be detrimental regardless of the power and size advantage (Dan Henderson/Jake Shields fight), AS however, has proven he can make the cut, maintain cardio, and have tremendoius speed.

225 Is his offseason weight, once he starts training hard he gets down to 205, so in reality he is only cutting 20 pounds, because his natural weight while in training is 200-110

Fedor walks around at 230. Anderson only walks around at 220 and it is a fat 220. After training camp he only has to cut between 20 and 30 lbs which is on par with what everyone at MW cuts. He is cutting wt to fight guys that are the same size as he is.

@side kick. mokoko definitely has it wrong. anderson said himself he is around 220. he wouldnt be cutting from 250 to 185 to fight middleweight. His body would be screwed. So let me get this right. there is 14lb to 1 stone, so 56lb is 4 stone, so mokoko thinks he cuts over 4 stone for a fight. come on that is the most ridiculous thing you could say.

I think Florian put it best- Belfort if the fight ends early, Silva if it goes into later rounds. It also depends which Belfort shows up.

Judging by the comments here many ppl have a hate on for silva and can't wait for em to lose, I don't get it, he's the most exciting and talented fighter around today, and seems like a good guy outside the ring, but whatever.

I think Silva's got this one for a few reasons, no one has taken a beating like Silva did from Chael Sonnen, 4 1/2 rds of gettin punched in the face, and rocked on the feet as well. He recovered and persevered through all that to win it, also somehow he didn't gas, he is not easy to finish, he was bouncing around on his feet going into the fifth. The striking could go either way, but I'd say silva is more accurate and dynamic with his striking, also his reach advantage could nullify vitors great hand speed ala gsp penn 2. Remember Vitor hasn't really been actively fighting in recent years, and silva has, I'm hard pressed to believe Vitors gonna walk in and take the belt after being sidelined for that long.

I think whats happening here is alot like what happened with Brock. After the Carwin fight you had alot of people saying "if Carwin couldn't put him away, no one can!". Then there were the people who thought Brock got "exposed" and that Cain would use the blueprint Carwin did and finish him. Then there are the people who just love or hate one of the fighters and base their prediction off that. For the Brock vs Cain fight, not only did I want Cain to win, but I was confident enough to say if I had a large sum of money it would be put on him. For this fight I want Vitor to win, but I couldn't say the same.

i think the silva hate began around the time of the leites fight and really culminated after the maia one. dancing around the cage for 5 rounds and wasting people's money isn't going to win you many fans. then the fight against sonnen just gave people more reason to criticise him. i respect him for his amazing achievements but he really has to prove he's still the most dominant mw in the world against belfort and i think he will.

Heres how I see the fight. Vitor is going to do 100 running punches for 4 rounds then he will get tired. Then Silva will pull off a Flying Heel Hook Roy Chonan style.

If you had told me before the AS vs. Sonnen fight that Chael Sonnen would dominate standing and on the ground for 4-1/2 rounds, I wouldn't have believed you.

While I give the edge to Silva due to his consistent winning record, I really don't know who will win.

I have seen him stand next to Rich Frankilin when Rich was champ and they looked dead even, He looked smaller than Forrest in their fight. He is tall, that is all. He has a smaller frame than most of the LHW allthough he can easliy fight at that weight. Look at the chest of Chael vs AS and you will see that Chael is the naturally heavier guy.

Vitor has better and faster hands, but Silva is a much better kickboxer in general...Silva needs to keep that distance, throw high kicks and watch for the opportunity to use his Muay Thai clinch work. I predict Silva luring Vitor to his spider web (clinch), and the fight ends there.

I think the key to this fight is whether or not Silva can keep the distance between them. if he can he should enjoy his usual reach advantage and capitalise. If belfort can close the distance though i would favour belfort.
