UFC 125 Results: Brian Stann finishes Chris Leben

Stann was the more precise fighter from the first second of the fight, connecting with Leben's head on several occasions. Leben went out with his trademark "all-out" approach, which proved itself as a bad bet against someone like Brian Stann.
Stann dropped Leben two times in the middle of Round 1, as Josh Rosenthal gave "Crippler" more and more opportunities for a comeback. But then it was one lethal knee that sent Leben down to the canvas for the third time, without any chance to stand back on his feet. Stann improves his MMA record to 10-3, and is a first fighter since Anderson Silva to finish Leben via Strikes.

advise for leben: U block punches with ur arms,not with ur chin.
that reckless,brawling style is not the best bet.
Leben is a moron...the dude gets rocked n almost KO'd in every fight he's in....needs to learn some striking defense

Brian Stann can say now that he is from the few the proud to actually finish Leben! good for him! he looks like a great prospect at MW
So what if he's a brawler? He's is super entertaining and has tighten up his striking. I'm still a Leben fan, he just caught caught. I had Leben in this fight, i figured he'd get the better of the exchanges he didn't. Still a great fight.
Leben got KO'd because he bought into his own hype. Even steel jawed fools like him can be KO'd when they fight sloppy nobody is immune to concussive forces
Leben has pretty much always let people hit him in the face. He just found someone strong enough to make him pay for it. Good performance from Stann.
Leben should probably stop punching people's fists with his chin.
Well almost everyone doubted and questioned Brian ability to face off against a hero from war.
I've always loved Leben cuz of his exciting style and toughness but i caught myself rooting for Stann just because Leben's technical skills are horrendous. Leben is one of the reasons why boxers and kickboxers make fun of MMA. I'm happy that those sloppy guys are slowly but surely fading away letting the new bread of well rounded fighters come in.
Then this fight was announced, everybody sayed: "Why is Leben fighting a guy like Stann. They are not on the same level." And I sayed that too. But now there is a website full of guys that "knew" this is going to happen. "Ye, I sayed that Leben will gat KO´d"...
Stick with what you sayed.
I thought it was a risky fight for Leben, He had alot more to lose
fighting a guy with a lesser name... he could have turned down the
fight, but didnt.
For Stann he won and now he's the next big thing, if Leben would have one it would have been no biggie and expected.
Leben is a stud... Give Stann alot of credit, the last guy that KO'd Leben has never lost and has the belt.
Maybe Stann is the next big thing ?

If you watched any of Stann's interviews before hand, this result is not terribly surprising. The man has seen some REAL sh@t in his day. He kept his cool, didn't get overly excited, and used Leben's lack of defense to his advantage. I'm a Leben fan, so I am disappointed with this result. But hey, it was only a matter of time before someone figured not to get to excited after rocking Leben. Stann kept his cool, picked his shots and broke him down.
It looked like a man was fighting a boy.
i commented that Stann is dreaming that he can beat Leben ,, well i'm eating crow this morning it was nightmare for Leben ,, congrats Stann he said what he is going to do
never had leben a fast guy but he looked super slow in this fight, credit to brian stann for doing what only silva could do makes him a legit top 10 mw in ufc. give him nate the great.

I think his football background gives him some slick movement. I think he has potential to be a contender.
