Okami is one of the most underrated MW's in the world, hes deserved a title shot for a while now and win over Nate means he should get it and even for the ppl who say no, then who else deserves it more than him???

Bisping deserves it more then Okami?: are we serious?! lol I without a doubt feel Okami deserves this fight based on his record in the UFC it's very impressive. I didn't think his fight last nite was all that great but he still won and he seems to do that alot here in the Octagon.

Bisping would probably win a decision in a fight with Okami. I'm not a fan of his ,but Bisping is always agressive and tries to finish.

Okami deserves the title shot but he had better be alot more prepared than he was last time with Silva.

He was getting embarrassed by Silva and only won because Silva ko'd him with an illegal upkick.

People saying Okami was the last person to defeat AS is like claiming Matt Hamil is the last person to defeat Jones. Technically yes but in reality it wasn't even close.

I think Okami would do the same to Bisping and win via decision, people don't realize how big Okami is and how good he is in making fighters fight his game plan

If he doesn't get one, he should just leave. He doesn't deserve the Fitch treatment.

Well Fitch has the tendencies to make people regret spending money on events. At least for the 15 minutes he fights.... Plus he doesnt seem to get any better.

He probably deserves a title shot more than any other guy in the division, but stylistically its a really easy match for Silva.

His striking has improved a lot and he utilized it against the pitbull with success.

Fitch is boring? Yeah,so is the WW champ, so whoever wins, we'll still have a boring champ in the WW division. We need a ****y champ for everyone to hate since Lesnar has been dethroned so let's hope Koscheck beats him lol

If you think GSP is boring then you haven't a clue about MMA. He is p4p#1 for a reason. I despair of the world when i come across such idiots.

YES. With MMA or mainly the UFC I think too much emphasis is put on "entertaining fights" exciting fights are great, everyone loves them, but a win is a win. Okami has paid his dues and hovered around the top of the middleweight division for years now. He deserves his shot. You don't see the Pittsburgh Steelers win the AFC championship but are denied a trip to the superbowl because the score was 6-3.

He deserves it on merit throughout his career but not based on last night. Was not impressive.

Was not impressive? He took Nate out of his game. You could see the confusion and slight frustration from Okami's octagon control and constant peppering of the jabs. And when Nate took Okami down, Okami got up or worked his guard to either create potential locks or to create space for movement. It was a well played game for Okami.

So he made Nate back up. Actually got taken down more than took down. Got a few jabs in there and that's impressive somehow? I'd say it's smart fighting. Not impressive.

He deserves it because Dana said the winner would get a title shot.

But if Chael Sonnen wins his appeal, I think Sonnen and Okami should rematch for a title shot -- at UFC 126 (when Silva and Belfort fight).

honestly he doesnt pose any threat to silva at all, he would get out struck on the feet like last time and his takedowns are nothing compared to chaels..

Just because he doesn't have a flashy style doesn't take away his skill set and abilities as he notches up win after win in a very brutal division. He's been on the grind for quite some time and it is only fair that he get a shot at the title. If Marquardt won the match, he'd probably get a title shot. So why not Okami as well?

Well I think Okami deserves the shot after beating Nate more then Nate would have deserved it if he had beaten Okami.

Before this fight Okami was on a two fight win streak after losing to Sonnen and Nate had one win after his loss to Sonnen. So Yes Okami deserves it.

Bottom line is Dana promised Okami a title shot. Yes he does deserve to get that shot because he won plain and simple. This is not rhythmic gymnastic or synchronize swimming where you are judge by your artistic athleticism. It should be (although sometime it's not) If you keep winning and keep beating title contenders you should get a shot at the champion where you win by decision, knock out or submission.
