UFC 120 Continues to Take Form
Posted on July 3, 2010, 09:20 PM by Joey SantosusAs the UFC 120 fight card continues to come together, two more bouts have been verbally agreed upon. John "The Hitman" Hathaway, coming off his impressive upset victory over top contender Diego Sanchez, will square off against the always electrifying "Stun-Gun" Dong Hyun Kim, coming off his own upset victory over division prospect Amir Sadollah, in a battle of the unbeaten. In addition, Cyrille "Snake" Diabate will look to stay on track after his successful UFC debut when he meets Alexander "The Mauler" Gustafsson.
Hathaway, at just 22 years old, has quickly become a front runner in the welterweight division. His unanimous decision victory over Deigo Sanchez marked his fourth straight win since joining the UFC, bringing his record overall to 14-0.
"Stun-Gun" Kim, also unbeaten thus far in his professional career at 13-0-1-1, out-pointed former Ultimate Fighter winner Amir Sadollah to capture a unanimous decision victory of his own at UFC 114.
Diabate, 17-6-1 in his career, recently made his UFC debut with a first-round TKO over the dangerous Brazilian Luiz Cane and will undoubtedly look for another convincing victory at 120.
Gustafsson, the only man out of the four coming off a loss, will look to bounce back after a disappointing first-round submission loss to undefeated light-heavyweight Phil Davis. Gustafsson stands at 9-1-0 heading in to what will be his third UFC fight.
UFC 120 will be the organization's next trip to London, taking place at the 02 Arena. Other match-ups said to be materializing are the potentially explosive heavyweight bout between Cheick Kongo and undefeated Travis Browne, as well as a welterweight war between Dany Hardy and Carlos Condit.
