UFC 116 pre-fight Press Conference Highlights
Posted on July 2, 2010, 04:07 AM by Daniel CassidyTensions were very high last night as both the UFC's Heavyweight Champ, Brock Lesnar, and the Interim Heavyweight Champ, Shane Carwin, came face to face at the UFC 116 press conference. Both spoke about their desire to overcome the other and unify the UFC's Heavyweight gold. Shane spoke about his role as the underdog, despite many fans wanting him to defeat Brock.
Carwin also talks about how he is ready for Brock's wrestling, coming out of Greg Jackson's camp. Lesnar returns 357 days after his last fight, against Frank Mir at UFC 100. The lay off is due to Lesnar's almost life threatening battle with diverticulitus.
The card is co-headlined by a Middleweight war between Yoshihiro Akiyama and Chris Leben, who takes the fight two weeks after his last win over Aaron Simpson. UFC 116 takes place July 3rd in the MGM Grand Las Vegas Nevada.

I watched the whole press conference. At the end, brock and shane stood side bye side and I feel there is no way shane is the same height. Brock is at least 2 inches taller. I am in the photographic field and understand perspective and it was shot pretty evenly. Unless Shane is a real slouch.
That's funny cause anytime I come back from the chiropractor im a inch taller simply because my backs straight lol

I agree Lesnar looks a little bigger and taller.... Leben please knock the smug look off of Akiyama's face tomorrow night.....

I was going to say, boots, but look at their shoulders. I think Lesnar is clearly taller and bigger. Look at the weigh ins, Shane looks like a big guy, but Lesnar is a spectacle.
Lesnar says he "wants to go DOWN as the best heavyweight fighter in the world".
He's going DOWN alright, down and out and not able to get back up. Lesnar will be KTFO in the 1st round!

i didnt watch the confrence i dont know if they are wearing diffrent shoes or the angle is off but brock definately looks to be much bigger than carwin in this picture. although it might not make any diifrence if carwin can connect with one good shot

Carson needs a beating; he's a bit too smug IMO. Hope Brock wins now.

idk what happened but i like the humble brock lesnar, i still hope carwin wins because brock was talkin alot of shit, but brock presented himself very well here, still gonna be a good ass fight
