UFC 115 Awards and Bonuses
Posted on May 17, 2010, 06:57 AM by Anton GurevichUFC President Dana White awarded no less than 85,000 dollars to the top performers of the UFC 115: Liddell vs Franklin fight card. The event took place at the GM Place in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. UFC 115 was the promotion's first trip to Vancouver, a small victory in White's ongoing struggle to bring Mixed Martial Arts into the mainstream of the Canadian sport.
Former WEC Welterweight Champion Carlos Condit and the young Canadian prospect Rory MacDonald won the prestigious Fight of the Night award for their war at the opening bout of the main card. UFC President Dana White had a positive reaction for Mirko Filipovic's post-fight plea, by awarding the Croatian Legend the Submission of the Night award. Finally, Former UFC Middleweight Champion Rich Franklin earned the well-deserved Knockout of the Night bonus, for sending Chuck Liddell out cold to the canvas.
Next UFC attraction will be long-anticipated Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale, headlined by the Light Heavyweight showdown between Keith Jardine and Matt Hamill. The event will take place at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas on June 19th.

Ha! I love that Mirko asked for it!
I wish Kampmann would have got something, that was an awesome performance. And the level of Juijitsu shown by Pyle, with reversals.
people will want a Liddell fight so they can get knockout of the night, poor old Chuck, I felt really bad for him. His striking is still very good but his chin lets him down, I think he could still win fights but would have to fight Machida styles. Rich is right in the fact that Liddell over commits to certain moves too
Last night was the smartest fight I have seen Liddell fight in a while. Maybe he will go fight in Dream and adopt a Machida style of defensive offense. I highly doubt this will happen but he could probably pull it off in Dream. He has black belts in two forms of Karate.
85G!! wow the money is stacked up
Jardine will follow in the icemans foots steps next sat. he lost his chin after Rampage dropped him last year
How do you lose your chin though? Is there any research behind this?
Who would've ever guessed Cro Cop for Submission of the night?
definitely, Pat Barry didn't
