I don't even want to see him fight Tito. Tito will knock him out and will talk sh** about it for years to come. Please Chuck, for yours and everyone else sake, hang up the gloves.

when u get KO'd by a fighter who is not known for his KO power, I think its time for that fighter to hang up the gloves. Getting KO'd by Rampage, Shogun and Evans isn't that bad but getting KO'd by Franklin just sucks, Liddell is just too old now

i love chuck but now we know that his chin is gone. he looked great and if this was 2 years ago he could make another run but ever since rashad ko'd him his chin aint been the same. Farewell Chuck you will be missed

I think it was ultimately Rashad that ended Chuck's career. After the Rampage fight, he fought both Jardine and Wanderlei in which he was able to take some huge shots. It's obvious that he needs to call it quits. He went from having one of the best chins in MMA to now probably having the worst chin in MMA. It was great while it lasted Chuck, please don't tarnish your legacy any further.

He didnt do everything correctly, Franklin said what I've been saying for years. Chuck over commits and gets over aggressive and sloppy when he goes in for the kill when he should back off and continue picking them apart

He missed one shot....much like ALOT OF FIGHTERS do in the mma. It just so happens the next punch comin from his opponent is a lil more accurate than his. And chuck was doin very well in the match. had good body shots...one that broke his damn arm and he even had takedowns. Rich would have lost that round and would have lost if he would not have gotten caught.

Very true. He fights like a younger less experienced fighter. He always goes crazy when he's smell s blood or when legs are shaky.

It was the reason he finished so many fighters by KO up to 3-4 years ago but MMA keeps changing & everyones game has holes. Look at the supposedly unbeatable Machida!!!!

very true. But hey chucks gameplan worked with him so long if i was him i wudnt change it either. His exploitation of the other fighters sudden pain was what gave him the ultimate knockouts and finishes that hes famous for. But hey gotta adapt or die.

it would be great to see jardine vs liddell right now so chuck can ko him cuz he aint got no chin anymore and then retire. To leave with a devastating KO loss like that is heartbreaking

He has lost 5 of his last 6 fights, 4 by knockouts. Franklin threw a punch that shouldn't have knocked Chuck out. He has obviously lost his chin.

I dont think he needs to retire from the sport directly. I think he would make a good coach and he should work on still selling his brand. He still is a 10th degree black belt in Kempo. I think a new chain of ICEMAN KEMPO schools should sprout up all over north america.

Chuck looked great out there. He mixed up his strikes, went for takedowns, I mean he broke his damn arm with that kick. Problem is, I had JUST said to myself, damn Chuck ur getting a little overly aggressive and then BAM lights out.... He over commits just like Franklin said.... In the end tho, what it boils down to is simple. That shot really should NOT have put him out.... His chin is simply gone. There is no shame in that. He has been in some big time wars and helped pave the way for MMA and the UFC.

Yea, and it didn't help that he had his mouth wide open when he threw that punch before getting KO'ed.

I'm not sure it's reasonable to expect Chuck to retire after that fight.

The realit is - Chuck broke the man's arm and had it not been for that punch at the end of the fight, Chuck wins; I don't see how Franklin or his corner would have allowed him to come out for the second.

I mean you have to give CL credit...he broke the man's arm. That is saying something, man.

It's hard to say, I thought Chuck gave a great showing of himself and he obviously still has power.

The fact that Chuck broke his arm is going to be what I remember about that fight; now that is impressive; Rich staying in the fight was also impressive (to say the least).

Bravo both ways round for two great fighters.

I could see him giving some middleweights a run for their money. Even at the beginning of heavyweight he might be abit successful, but NO LHW anymore.

Rampage took chuck from A+ tier to C tier in one fight, he hasn't been the same fighter since

He lost 5 of his last 6 fights and 4 by KO, can you imagine what that does to your brain and body ??

However i think it's hard to say whether or not he should retire from MMA... I personally think he looked great in all of his last fights BUT he just overcomits way too much, he never protects himself and leaves himself open all the time, but his power and his speed are pretty much the same as before i believe... I really like him and i would love to see him knock a few people out before retiring.... but that's just me, it's up to him.

If it was any other fighter UFC would cut them. Chuck has done a lot for UFC and he is a big draw, but with his last few fights he would be cut if he didn't have the history with UFC.

He can still dish it out, he just can't take it any more. It is time to think of his overall career and the damage he is doing to his impressive reputation. Do we really want to see 65 Year Old Chuck getting tossed around by chumps, so they can say they fought a legend? That is what is in the cards if he continues.

He was lined up to Fight Tito for a reason, Tito would have wrestled him to the ground or been a punching bag with no defence for 15 minutes. Someone forgot to tell Franklin he was not supposed to hit Chuck back.

If he fights again it will not be a striker, it will be a chump that is pleased to get his ass kicked by the legend to have it on his resume.

Can't take anything away from one of the most successful LHW champions of all time, but I think it is time to hang the gloves. I don't think he will quit though, as I feel he just loves to fight and compete too much. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he popped up in Strikeforce or another promotion and continued for years to come.
