Ultimate Fighting Championship presented their 10th card of the year, headlined by the long-anticipated bad blood fight between the two former Light Heavyweight Champions Suga Rashad Evans and Quinton Rampage Jackson. Four out of five Main Card bouts went to the judges decision, leaving many knockout and submission enthusiasts disappointed.

But when it comes to numbers, UFC 114 is just behind the mythological UFC 100:

15,081 spectators at the MGM Grand Garden Arena
$3.895 million gate receipt
850,000 PPV buys (according to Dana White)
125,000 Fan Expo attendees

Also, #1 UFC Light Heavyweight Title Contender Rashad Evans was the top earner of the night, bringing home to Albuquerque no less than $435,000. The gap between rich and poor continued to grow, as the undercard combatant Joe Brammer fought the veteran Aaron Riley for only 5 thousand dollars.

well lil nog will get paid more when he has more UFC fights. gotta remember that bisping not only won on TUF, but he has had a bunch of UFC fights, thus increasing his pay. Lil nog has only had 2, sure hes a top ranked fighter, but bisping is in the mix as well.

The USD is worth less than EUR. That may have something to do with it.

the huge vary in pay is B.S. I know bigger names get more money but when your on the main car PPV every fighter should get no less than 25k U.F.C. makes enough money to pay these guys a little better.

It would be nice to see some of the lower ranked fighters get a small cut of the gate/ppv.

I don't know how these guys can live on that kind of money. Not to mention the expenses they must have.

Tough business to break into for sure.

$435,000 for a fight compare to what a big name boxer is making is not much at all especially for a big name fighter like Rashad E. I don't really like boxing, but the money is not bad at all.

$5,000 OMG that's crap money..how is he supposed to pay his trainers? I think dictator Dana W. can pay these figthers a little more than that? fighters don't have a long career in MMA, therefore, they should make a little more than what they are actually making. It's just my opinion.

    Underdog,

Great point regarding salaries and cash outlay. Good trainers are anywhere from $70-100/hour, and that's taking into account discounts. That, of course, if offset by teaching (as long as you're at the right MMA gym). That being said, just think - two striking, one wrestling and two BJJ sessions a week. Even at a discount that's close to $400/week.

Boxing slowly disappears and the fighters reap the big money at the loss of fans who are willing to pay too much for a 140lb guy to dance for 10 rounds. Mayweather can smoke my pole.

He wasn't on the list, but you can't deny the fact that he made a lot of money just for one fight though.

Bisping won TUF which is a million pound contract spread over his first yr in the octagon. He has had alot ot fights nd won 9 sine starting therefore his fight appearance fee could not have dropped that drastically!
