Tyson Griffin in for Joe
Posted on June 28, 2010, 06:31 PM by wyloteAfter a tough loss to teammate and contender Evan Dunham, Tyson Griffin announces that he is back! When Joe Stevenson stepped out of his fight with Takanori Gomi via injury, Fight of the Night favorite Tyson Griffin will step up to fight "The Fireball Kid" in what should be a barn-burner.

Tyson is too technical for Gomi. Tyson by decision.
I actually agree with you japanegro...
It bothers me that Tyson Griffin hasn't been given a title shot... Then he loses to Dunham and that knocks him out of contention?? Even with that loss his record is great!! Griffin has always been on the edge of greatness, he just needs that one big finish to push him over. I thought he had it finally against Hermes Franca, but for some odd reason it still never materialized.. I understand that all but 2 of his 7 UFC victories were by decision, but they were still wins... The guy is 14-3-0 and just recently got that third loss!! So at 14-2-0 coming into the Dunham match, he really should have been in there with a contender, not an up and comer, even as impressive as Dunham is. If they don't start giving the guy a little more respect, I think he should jump ship!!
Griffin all the way. He's definitely been given the short end of the stick in the UFC so far. I see him dominating Gomi and coming back off the tough loss to Dunham in a big way.
Gomi
Gomi!!
