his wrestling has nothing to do with it. hes one of the best wrestlers in the lightweight division. what it does have to do with, however, is edgars insane speed and footwork. edgar is get at moving around and giving you angles, which makes it hard to time a good takedown. also, it gives him unpredictability which helps him take others down.
Where in the hell do u see a snoozefest? FE vs Maynard 2 was amazing, Frank Mir and Roy Nelson can knock people out or submit, and itll be interesting to watch. ONE fight out of the whole card that has the snoozefest potential is rampage vs hamil if hamil chooses to grind it out using his wrestling and even then im sure rampage is working on his TDD so that as well will be interesting.
edgar-rampage-nelson. no dis-respect to hamil but i dont see how he is fighting rampage. rampage just beat machida then fights hamil? surely you fight tougher guys leading up to a title fight!
Hamill is on a 5 fight win streak so i think he does deserves this fight against a high rankied fighter for a contendership spot. After this fight it will clearly indicate where Matt Hamill should be in the rankings.
The second fight between Maynard and Edgar was great but even if the 2nd,3rd and 4th rd were tied and Edgar won the 5th by a slight margin which he might have, Maynard had such a dominating 1st round to give him the decision IMHO.

These cards are improving. Now you can see that the last 3 matches of the night are pretty big.
Rampage fighting Hamil is as puzzling as Machida's footwork.
