Tito Ortiz loses again, this time to Matt Hamill via Unanimous Decision
Posted on October 23, 2010, 10:16 PM by Anton GurevichOnce a great Mixed Martial Artist, Tito Ortiz added another defeat to his record, this time falling short against his Ultimate Fighter student Matt "The Hammer" Hamill. Just like in his last fight against Forrest Griffin, Ortiz lacked his trademark aggression and power, which made him a future UFC Hall of Famer and a #1 Light Heavyweight in the World during his prime.
Hamill did exactly what was expected from him. The Hammer kept distance from Tito, stinging the former mentor with solid jabs and striking combinations. Hamill managed to take down Tito Ortiz on several occasions, followed by an excellent ground and pound work.
In the end, it's a Unanimous Decision victory for Matt Hamill, who gets himself in the mix of the UFC Light Heavyweight division.
As for Tito Ortiz, I'm not afraid to say that The Huntington Beach Bad Boy should retire. His last victory was against Ken Shamrock, four years ago. Ortiz is one of the greatest fighters to ever compete in this sport, and it will be sad to see him following the footsteps of Chuck Liddell.

tito you bitch, i had you to win by decision. im not going to be top lowkick picker now.
lmfao. nice one. got my laugh for the night.
never gonna pick tito again, his best days are clearly behind him, like 4 years behind him.ahaha
Wow Tito isnt doing that good anymore, i would be surprized if the UFC held him on any longer
Glad Hamill won but that guy always "looks" like is hardly trying in his fights.
he nevers seems like an aggressive fighter.
was good fight for Tito was suprise actually..
Couldnt of happen to a better guy....
Tito went down hill when he started talking crap to Shamrock...
He might of beat Shamrock...but that was done for publicity, Tito married a pornstar and forgot to evolve with the sport.... Retire Tito...
"it will be sad to see him following the footsteps of Chuck Liddell"
Nah... people like Chuck Liddell
Watching Tito lose never gets old.
Hahahaha! Killer man, best comment made on the internet about UFC 121.
Tito has 4 fights left on his contract... who should he fight ?
Chuck ? one more time ?
Forrest ? (after Franklin KO's him) rubber match ?
Certainly no contenders... so who ? I think we will see chuck vs Tito !
I think we will see a contract by out they will pay him out of his contact and we never have to deal with him again....
Dana White was asked if he would let Chuck fight Tito and he said no.
Maybe... But i can tell Chuck wants to fight again, he looked decent
before Franklin caught him. He did break his arm with a nice kick.
Tito... Well he likes money, So he would be down and it would make
a good co main event as far as PPV money.
Both off losses... Loser packs it up and never fights again !
(Chuck retires with nice KO Victory)
good idea .... loser retires. Chuck would love that prospect and Tito would have a challenging opponent to prove he still belongs in the UFC. It wasn't a great fight for Tito, but its hard to judge a fighter when they just had a one year lay off.
If Ortiz can't win the next fight then he is definitely done. That is if he doesn't get cut for this loss.
Maybe put Tito up against bonnar or thiago silva. Possibly against Brandon Vera. If Dana hates Tito, feed him to Bones!
If tito still wants to fight thats nobody's business but his but I think it is going to be very hard for him to stay in the UFC.
Tito had ring rust, mans style and gameplan is just to old. Time to pack it up.
