Tim Kennedy wants to punish Michael Bisping

“He walks away with a win, a TKO, from blasting the dude in the face, illegally. Just drives me insane, like it’s the worse thing that can happen in the sport. As a fellow athlete, I think somebody has to hold him responsible for that. If the promotion won’t do it, let’s let the other athletes do it. I’m an athlete. I’ll step up to the plate and say, hey you’re wrong, you fight unfair, you cheat, let me show you how real guys fight.

I would love nothing more than to go out there put on a great display, put on a great fight. I’m confident I’d beat him and just take that fight purse and hand it right over. I think it’s not only a demonstration of how bad I want to fight the best guys, but it’s like a contrast of where he is. He’ll go out there and cheat to get a win. I’ll go out there to fight the fight, and then take my fight purse and give it to someone more important than me.”

Former Strikeforce Middleweight title challenger Tim Kennedy continued his campaign for a fight against Michael Bisping, this time in an interview to MMAWeekly.com. Kennedy joins Nate Marquardt, Chael Sonnen and many other UFC Middleweights, who decided to call out "The Count" following his controversial victory over Jorge Rivera back at UFC 127. Tim Kennedy (13-3 in MMA) successfully recovered from Unanimous Decision loss against Jacare Souza by choking out Melvin Manhoef in March at Strikeforce: Feijao vs. Henderson. Rivera and Kennedy are close friends, sharing the same management, sponsors and training camps.

come on that is a great match up to be honest that fight could goeither way but if Bisping circles and leaves himself open like he did his last

fight like how Dan KOed himTim most likely will do the same either

way would be agreat fight Kennedy brings it every time

I totally agree. Bisping may be obnoxious and disrespectful at times, but he surely delivers exciting fights. He's a handful for anyone in his division. I don't think Kennedy has enough experience or skill to beat the British.

where is all this hype from Bisping coming from?

    because he beat Rivera?? Akiyama?

do people forget he got beat up by Wanderlei not too long ago.

he is yet to prove himself worthy against a Top contender

im sure many Strikeforce guys would beat up Bisping starting by Tim , Lawler , Melvin and Jacare , and also Mayhem who is now with the UFC. and ofcourse a lot of guys of the official UFC roster.

    Probably not.

Bisping's striking is much better than Kennedy's, and while Kennedy is a great wrestler, Bisping has good wrestling skills too. Kennedy would have to try to take Bisping down. If not successful, he would get beat up standing. I don't think Bisping would finish him, but he would likely win a pretty clear cut decision. Kennedy's wrestling does give him a chance though.

what a ****, a lot of people want to call out bisping cause they think hes an easy fight, bisping isnt a scary fight, but its a hard fight, hes not easy to beat. the only reason he wants to fight bisping is for money and fame.

Haha who will be the first to hate on Kennedy? I can hear it now. Jorge deserved that illegal knee. He started it blah blah.

Can u argue that he didnt start the trash talk tho? I believe in trash talk to hype a fight, but I believe jorge crossed the line just to get his name up in the lights. However, that does not excuse Bispings actions. The illegal knee? ok ur worked up and you throw it without thinking when ur angry. But afterwards with the spitting was uncalled for. There was a fine line with what both these fighters did.... and both fighters crossed it. Jorge started something he simply couldnt finish. And bisping is just an idiot

this is why "trash talk" annoys me. i dont mind it if the guys are sincere and just speaking their mind but this isnt wrestling, this whole hyping the fight is just bullshit.

Are you talking about the videos? I actually think the Hamill one was funny because it was true! I didn't think the vids were all that bad but I can see how Bisping did. But.... they were about to fight. Bisping could have (without the illegal knee) knocked out Jorge, put him to sleep, or made him a bloody mess. But nooooo it's Michael Bisping. The guy had a chance to show some class that night but he didn't of course and he walked away with a tainted win in some people's opinion. Respond to immaturity with more immaturity. The guy has shown plenty of times that he has no class and he is too sensitive. Bisping is soft and childish.

“He walks away with a win, a TKO, from blasting the dude in the face, illegally" what is this guy talking about? hes talking like bisping knocked jorge out with illegal strikes. one illegal knee in the first round is alot different than "blasting the dude in the face illegaly" plus, yea bispings a **** but jorge got what he deserved imo.

Tim Kennedy has gone down massively in my estimation. Didn't think he would join the other vultures trying to jump on the bandwagon.

Talk about late to the party! Marquart and Sonnen already beat you to this Tim.

Maybe, unlike Bisping, he is actually a truthful person and just doesn't like cheaters.

Nah he's no better than all the other leeches like Marquart, Sonnen and Rivera who are trying to make a name off the back of Bisping noteriety and get some plublicity and try engineer a move to the UFC.

    It's so ****ing transparent.

    tim who???

dont get me wrong, im not a newbie to mma/strikeforce/ufc/etc,but kennedy's being a bit delusional...you got a few more fights before you can challenge a fighter of bisping's calibur...it's nice you want to make a name for yourself but the pond just got bigger and you have a bit further to swim before you get there

Funny to hear a Bisping defender accuse someone of an "outburst." Your boy is defined by his childish outburst (followed by hollow and insincere apologies of course).

... but it is an outburst! I'm not saying I dislike outburts like this. I'm saying this outburst isn't worthy of getting Tim a fight with Bisping. And yes, Bisping does have a few childish outburts.

Fair enough. I just see it as a guy who doesn't like someone who he thinks cheated because it demeans his sport and so now he wants to punch the guy in the face. Not really an outburst if you look at it like that.

I take the guy at his word.

it seems like calling out bisping is the new cool thing to do all the the irrational hate for bisping kinda makes me have some sympathy for the guy. i know that i have made my fair share of negative comments towards bisping but to be honest the guy is a great fighter and a top middleweight. people talk about how boring of a fighter he is but since his move to MW he has gone the distance only twice. people talk about how weak his chin is but he has only been ko'ed once and it was by a H-bomb that would of dropped a horse. the only real fair criticism of him is he is extremely arrogant and often immature if he could just tone it down a little and bite his tongue once in a while i would be a fan
