The Ultimate Fighter: Live Finale is in the books and showcased some of the best young up-and-coming talent in the UFC. The main event and TUF finale delivered on all fronts.

Jake “The Juggernaut” Ellenberger and Martin Kampmann met in the main event for a perceived Welterweight title shot. Ellenberger came out with a flurry, landing an excellent left hook that dropped Kampmann. Never easy to finish, Kampmann weathered Ellenberger's ground-and-pound and worked for a guillotine from the bottom for the rest of the round At the beginning of the second both fighters came out swinging and landing. Ellenberger appeared to gain the upper hand, but Martin Kampmann broke out his Muay Thai clinch, landing three vicious knees and knocking out Jake Ellenberger. A war and an unbelievable win for Kampmann. We will see if he garners the next Welterweight title shot in arguably the most stacked division in the UFC.

Al Iaquinta and Michael Chiesa met for the $100,000 contract in The Ultimate Fighter Finale match. Al Iaquinta caught a kick early and scored some good combinations. Chiesa attempted a takedown but was unsuccessful. Iaquinta scored a nice Superman punch but the roles were reversed when Chiesa took his back on the ground. Michael Chiesa sunk in a deep rear-naked choke to score the contract. A great victory for a fighter that has been through so much, it will be exciting to see how Chiesa uses his excellent grappling skills against the UFC roster.

Charles Oliveira and Jonathan Brookins in a back-and-forth war, with both fighters landing some good strikes in the first. Brookins scored a good double leg and bloodied the nose of Oliveira. Charles Oliveira displayed some good leg kicks throughout. Brookins went for a guillotine in the second, but Oliveira escaped, quickly utilizing a D'Arce choke of his own to submit Brookins. Another impressive finish for Oliveira, who is becoming a force at Featherweight.

Max Holloway beat Pat Schilling handily, landing shots at will to score a unanimous decision victory.

Justin Lawrence utilized a great front-kick feint to set up a brutal right headkick to knockout John Cofer. The highlight-reel KO should give some momentum to Lawrence.

The Ultimate Fighter: Live Finale Main Card Results:

Martin Kampmann def. Jake Ellenberger via R2 KO (Knees)

Michael Chiesa def. Al Iaquinta via R1 Submission (rear-naked choke)

Charles Oliveira def. Jonathon Brookins via R2 Submission (D'Arce choke)

Max Holloway def. Pat Schilling via Unanimous Decision

Justin Lawrence def. John Cofer via R3 KO (Headkick)

LowKick.com Awards:

Performance of the Night: Martin Kampmann absorbed some big shots from Jake Ellenberger to score a huge win with his clinch game. He is now on the hunt for a title shot.

Finish of the Night: Michael Chiesa's rear-naked choke finish of Al Iaquinta scored him the UFC contract and the emotional victory after having lost his father. His future as a fighter looks bright.

Upset of the Night: Again, Michael Chiesa wins an award, going into his bout with Al Iaquinta as the decided underdog. A great performance from an undefeated young fighter with tons of heart.

The unfortunate corollary to that is that since he performed beyond his abilities throughout the season, this is probably the high point of his career. I could see Iaquinta or Lawrence developing into elite lightweights. I do not see that happening for Chiesa. Yes, he's "inspirational, has great heart and a great chin," but...

Inspirational = did something nobody thought he could do. Let's face it, the odds of that continuing are slim to none.

    Great heart = limited athleticism

Great chin = gets hit way too much

All that said, I am glad he won.

Mousasi you are a complete fool.

How could you possibly know what this man is capable of in the future. Anyone can develop their athleticism and their striking skills. Put in the hard work and you can accomplish anything. i cannot see how you can doubt someone who just won a very difficult tournement in the highest level of mma

I agree anyone can drastically improve their skills in MMA, or anything else, through hard work. However, athleticism is at least 90% innate. Once you are in great shape, which Chiesa obviously is, athletic performance can only be improved marginally.

Even a complete fool can see that he is not on the same level athletically as the elite fighters at 155. If you cannot see the huge gap in athleticism between Chiesa and guys like Ben Henderson and Anthony Pettis, you are blind. If you honestly think he can close that gap, you are delusional.

It would be nice to believe that "anybody can accomplish anything" as you suggest. However, some people are elite athletes and some people are uncoordinated buffoons. That's the way it always has been, and that's the way it always will be. Hard work is part of the equation, but talent is equally important.

how can you compare this guy to ben henderson and pettis your an idiot thoose guys have been at the top of mma for years with high level professional experience and years of profecting their craft and athletic ability.

Hard work is everything you talent wont get you anywhere you think guys like ben henderson got to where they are by talent its all about hard work.

If you have actually trained a day in your live or competed in mma before you would know what i am talking about

Well it is clear now that I am arguing with a borderline illiterate moron. I did not compare Chiesa to Henderson or Pettis in terms of experience or accomplishment, I only compared their athletic abilities. At the end of the day MMA is an athletic endeavor, and athleticism is very important.

It's kind of cute that you honestly believe that hard work is all that matters. There are plenty of marginal athletes that work just as hard as the elite ones. The difference is talent not work ethic. To quote Brock Lesnar, "you can't make chicken salad out of chicken shit."

your the idiot your not just born with athletic ability you work for it yeah you might have some natural athletic abilities but they will not get you anywhere, you become athletic through training not talent.

You watch these guys on tv and think they are so great and you wish you could be like them but if you got up off your ass and trained maybe youd have a chance.

You cannot compare these guys athletic ability when they have been training with high level professional trainers for years.

You argue that Chiesa doesnt have the same athletic ability as these guys and say hard work wudnt get him on the same level, when clearly hard work is what gets you there

This was an awesome win....emotionally he would have been completely drained after the loss of his dad, plus the added pressure of training and fighting.

The kampmann fight was awesome, however, you always wonder whether the stoppage came too early or whether it was spot on, especially when you see the late stoppage on the bigfoot fight last week.

Dont like his fighting style. He's too one dimensional, at least put some great GnP if all of his hope is to get someone to the ground.

Stand up is pretty bad as well.

I hate guys who go for the hippie look, its too hipster in my mind. This was confirmed when I actually began to like Cody Mckenzie after he cut his hair and stuff lol. Its just judgments in my mind and stuff haha

Everything about him, I dislike, dont mean to push my opinion on anyone, its just my opinion.

Oh and I also hate Max Holloway....the way he looks aggravates me for some reason.

Holloway, yes I understand that, but I don't understand the Chiesa thing, he showed some GnP power on the show again Vick. I don't think he is going for the "hipster" look, rather than actually living a hippie type lifestyle.

Maybe its because i trained with a bunch of these jitsu hippies before, and they are actually down to earth, keep to themselves, and are very professional about work ethic and training.

C'mon dude, don't hate on Max. I went to high school with him. He's the most hard working, nicest humble guy your ever gonna meet. He's was always that kid slaving away in the gym. Everyone in Waianae is rooting for him to make it. I know i am!

I hope he is nice, but idk i just have that judgmental side that just cant get along with his face for some reason lol.

    But maybe that will change.

Oh and I also hated that he refused to go to the ground that many times. Schilling was fatigued and hurt and Holloway still did not want anything to do with the ground. That bugged me.

But even though I dislike him, hope he improves and gets better

I was with his cousin watching the fight, and we just couldn't believe max didn't try to finish the fight when he had so many opportunities to do so. He was trying to hard to be composed, but there's a certain line where you just gotta go into beast mode and throw caution to the wind..he's done in all his other fights, but he was so conservative in this fight. He's still a white belt in bjj, I know it's hard to believe a white belt with only four pro fights make the UFC roster..and even worse to be thrown up against a top five featherweight in dustin pourier...

    @HunterB

I think Vick is just soft, didnt like him either. And I saw it more as Vick just giving up all hope as soon as Chiesa got on top of him, he turned away, he still got KO'd though..

And its kind of like Brookins KOing Vagner, I dont think Brookins got power GnP, it was just some special magic that made those guys lose consciousness in my mind lol

But even if he wasnt going for hipster look, and was living a hippie type lifestyle. I would hate him even more, I hate hippies lol.

I was really disappointed in Brookins, and not just because I would have a nice chunk of change if he had come through.

I thought he was still evolving as a fighter, but last night, he had all his bad habits from back when he was in TUF.

His striking offense looked a little better, but he fights the same as always. He needs to get the person down for any hopes of winning.

The Vagner fight was kind of a fluke, it should have gone to decision with Brookins on top all fight pretty much. 9/10 it goes to decision

Al was looking solid before he got his back taken. To bad cause his potential knock out would have been way more exciting than the basic read naked.

What I didnt understand was the choke was on top of Al's chin, then he turned his head and let him slide it below his chin. When I saw that, I knew he was done.

Ya it looked like he was in good position to defend and just stopped trying or something. Too bad. Did the ufc set up the sob story ending? Even his fight against Lawrence, it seemed like Lawrence just wasnt really trying. Look how much harder he fought on the finale card getting the highlight headkick KO.

To be honest he was the only one in the Show who could graple good and that is one of the reasons of his victory. His chin looked good but striking bad - a lot of work to do in this aspect.

Best of look and development in Carrier!
