@Ninja yeah me too i think Vera will dominated standing

    up to a U. Decision.

But it would be nice to see him getting a TKO he has so much potential .

the thing he is doing wrong is not following the "gameplan" the thing is he needs to be more aggressive , he has the skills and the power he just needs to use them.

he had Randy in Round 1 and Round 3 he just not went for the kill and he pay for it.

I've always liked The Truth; I think he's a great fighter and I've pulled for him in every fight I've ever seen him in. However and with that said, I've heard all this before, from Brandon. I hope this time he delivers.

Of his most recent losses the one that disappointed me the most was his fight against Jardine; he should have owned KJ, but alas, he did not. In terms of his loss to Couture; I thought he won. In terms of his loss to John Jones; who in The UFC is beating JJ? Answer, no one. I can't blame BV for taking the same loss (it was like watching a monkey beat a chicken) that everyone else is taking; that loss is a push (IMO), relative to the whole division and until someone actually stops JJ, there is no shame and nothing wrong, with taking a loss from him.

This is probably the last kick at the can for Vera and I hope he wins, but Thiago Silva is a big bad dude and TS needs the win, too; he'll be motivated and he has KO power.

I both hate and love these fights, because I'm a fan of and respect both these fighters. Yet, as you have to pick one over the other I'll go with BV and hope that he can finally deliver on all that promise and potential, that he both has and has demonstrated. I wish him well in the fight, but if he ends up KO'd or losing to TS, I will neither be shocked nor disappointed.

I think these two fighters have similar stand up skills. Both are excellent. Vera is different in that he throws more kicks, but Thiago Silva has more punching power.

There only common opponent is Keith Jardine. Vera lost a decision to him; T Silva KTFO'd him. Obviously this does not mean very much to the outcome of this fight, but it is something to consider.

The only fighter that has gotten the better of T Silva standing has been Lyoto Machida, while several including Jon Jones, Tim Sylvia, Jardine, Werdum (and arguably Couture) have beaten Vera in the standup game.

I think T Silva's punching power and agression will be to much for the truth. I see him dropping Vera and finishing with strikes on the ground.

After actually watching the video I am picking Vera to win after Silva breaks both his hands on the titanium plates in Vera's face.
