lol shogun not that good. machida has crushed t silva and evans 2 of the best in the lhw division and no one has has come close to beating him except who ? even if you think machida won that fight shogun inflicted the most damage. i don't know who will this one but for me shogun is top 10 p4p and possibly become top 5 p4p after this fight
are you for real? how long have you been a fan of MMA?, 2 days. To say Shogun is "not that good" is just sheer stupidity. You are entitled to your opinion but, come on man, get real, Shogun is definately one of the best LHW's in the world right now, when he first came to the UFC and lost to Griffin, he had bad ring rust as he hadn't fought for a while as well as recovering from some long standing injuries but now he is back to the form of the "old" Shogun so you will see just how good he is this weekend. You sound like you are only familiar with the Shogun that has fought in the UFC to say something like that.......
rigged ? i doubt that. it probably had more to do with incompetent judgin. compare the penn v edgar fight and shogun v machida 1 perfect example with whats wrong with the judging in mma
I like Rua too,but . I don't care what the rumor said ,Machida didn't judge him to win and why is all the judges score him to win . To challenge the Champ you gotta defeat the champ and i see Machida fly knee and counter punch rocked Rua there ,now most of fans out there including Danna criticized him just motivated him far better ever with his technical skills , The way Machida fought all most exactly like Anderson his training partner.I think Machida wonna win by OTKO
For some reason I think Machida will surprise the world finishing the fight in the 3rd round. Who knows, they are both great fighters and their styles are what make this fight.
Both these guys are equally dangerous and i would never underestimate either fighter but i have the feeling that Machida is going to be a lot more aggressive in this fight and suprise a lot of people, i think he's going to win by TKO but we'll see, i'm a fan of both fighters so i don't mind who takes it but it definately is going to be one hell of a fight........
I think if Machida starts to change his style to appease the fans it will be the beginning of the end of his career, what makes Machida so good is how elusive he is but Shogun figured out how to hunt him down.
Also Shogun had no damage done to him at all in that fight while Machida had a broken hand, 2 broken ribs, was limping and busted up in the face. It was without a doubt one of the silliest judges decisions in fighting history and they were obviously all boxing judges.
As for who will win this fight I don't know but I will say this, if Machida goes in there overly aggressive and tries to go after Shogun he is doomed.
shogun is 10 times better than we've seen in the ufc. he has had get used to the ufc rules which are much different than the rules he was fighting when he was at his best. the ring is more technical than the cage so shogun was able to work takedowns, ground n pound, and submissions without have to use the cage. also the rule of not kneeing, stomping, or kicking a downed opponent were not rules he had to worry about before. that's where he's at his best and most entertaining cause your sure to see flying strikes. something you don't see in the ufc. also, he had a few shows where he had to fight more than one fight in one night. he beat allistair overeem and ricardo arona in the same night. if the ufc would do a grand prix tournament, you would see who the real warriors are.

The Rua bandwagon is going to get a flat tire tonight. He's not even that good.
