TUF 14 Finale: John Dodson wins the Bantamweight bracket with a TKO over T.J. Dillashaw
Posted on December 3, 2011, 09:02 PM by Anton GurevichJohn "The Magician" Dodson became the new Ultimate Fighter after TKO'ing the early favorite T.J. Dillashaw in Round 1.
Dodson enjoyed a strong opening, picking Dillashaw apart with fast movement and unorthodox angles that were a sign of things to come inside the Octagon. Dodson landed a powerful left hook that caught Dillashaw right on the chin, as "The Viper" rolled to the other side of the cage. Dodson swarmed all over Dillashaw with punches, giving the referee Herb Dean no choice but to stop the action. Many would argue about Dean's stoppage, which left Dillashaw to chance to recover from the punch.
John Dodson received the trophy from the hands of the UFC President Dana White, who congratulated the new Ultimate Fighter for winning "a six-figure contract with the UFC".
John Dodson improves his MMA record to 12-5, joining the UFC Bantamweight division as TUF 14 Winner. The Magician now has 8 finishes on his record, promising a series of exciting fights to the Mixed Martial Arts fans around the world.

Bit of an early stoppage but Dodsan looked amazing regardless, hes so fast and strong cant wait to see how he does in the BW division or the Flyweight division once that comes to the UFC...definitely has a bright future
well considering Dodson's last fight where he KO'd the dude and landed like 10 lightning quick hammerfists before Herb Dean could step in, i think Herb Dean was being cautious this time around and pulled Dodson off early
I think so too. TJ was not looking very bad at all compared to other fighters last night who were allowed to play on. Dodson did great but I don't think we have a completely accurate story of the better fighter after last night.
Great stoppage, I underestimated Dodson I went with TJ to control.
Dodson may be the most athletic man in MMA, it's insane.
He also may be the man to stop Cruz aswell as he has sick wrestling defense and has fight finishing power in both hands. REally strong future for Dodson.
TJ also has a good future as this was only his first loss and it was to a beast. He comes out a amazing camp in Team Alpha Male, he'll be back better than ever. He has good stand up and great wrestling, watch for him in the future.
