Chad Griggs continued his impressive run in Strikeforce, this time victimizing Valentijn Overeem early in Round 1. Once again, the odds were against Griggs, but "The Grave Digger" managed to prove he's the real deal by dominating Overeem on the feet, before brutalizing the Dutchman with a vicious Ground and Pound from the top.

The fight was stopped at the official time of 2:08.

Griggs is now 11-1 in his MMA career, with 10 TKO/KO's and 3-0 overall in Strikeforce. Winner of Cormier-Monson could be next in line for the fan-favorite Grave Digger.

He may not be anywhere near the GP's level but he looked good tonight. Very dissapointed with noobREEM, that being said; Mauro IS A D!CK, how can he say anything about Overeem tapping, untill he gets into the cage with the exact same health (and any problems Overeem may have had) and waits until he is KOed or injured, he cant say anything about someone tapping to strikes. I'm pretty sure I saw Shogun, one of the best ever, tapping to strikes
