Stephan Bonnar survives with a Second Round TKO victory over Krzysztof Soszynski
Posted on July 3, 2010, 10:10 PM by Anton GurevichUFC Lightweight veteran Stephan Bonnar showed a huge heart once again in a fantastic TKO victory over Krzysztof Sozcynsky in the second round. Bonnar survived the cut from the promotion, in what was probably the most important fight of his career.
The Polish Experiment was the dominant force inside the cage during the First Round, coming guns blazing at Stefan Bonnar. Soszynski managed to cut Bonnar several times, turning their main card Light Heavyweight attraction in a blood bath. Despite landing heavy shots and being almost in full control of the fight, Soszynski failed to finish Stephan Bonnar, who once again showed tremendous survival skills.
Bonnar looked surprisingly refreshed in the second, keeping right distance from Soszynski and landing some heavy shots of his own. The American Psycho went for punishment, with heavy knees and good striking combinations, that left Soszynski fighting for survival of his own. Soszynski showed signs of desperation with a sloppy takedown attempt, that allowed Bonnar to deliver the final lethal knee to his chin. The referee Mario Yamasaki gave the Pole a lot of credit in his late stoppage, after Soszynski failed to improve his position for a reasonable amount of time.
In the end, Stephan Bonnar scores an important victory that keeps him above the surface in the UFC. The American Psycho ensures another run inside the Octagon, but will it be an effective one? Only time will tell.

Somehow i doubt that he's coaches are holding him back. I think he would know.
Dude's like a shark. Goes berserk at the presence of blood.
I'm happy for Bonnar. I loved his comment post interview..." I know I'm not right in the head"....lol
Actually I think he said "im know im sick in the head..." still LOL though!!!
Well I guess he really is better at the sight of his blood :p
Great fight! He's got some fight left in him, i was worried, he's lost a few fights but this fight will get him a few more. Wicked fight, can't say more than that.
im really happy that bonnar won i do not want to see him get cut from the ufc.
I recognize this dumb mark who always spams these boards. He didn't know what MMA was until TUF season 1 aired after Monday Night Raw. then he switched from being a WWE fanboy into a UFC fanboy.
