Chael may not have "beat" Anderson, but he did beat him up! It was a joy to watch! I'm not even a Chael fan per se, I just loved watching Anderson get beat up for the better part of 5 rounds!

Michael Bisping is not a bad fighter but he just is not at the same level as Chael Sonnen or Anderson Silva. I don't like how Silva and his manager are trying to hide behind a fight with Bisping to avoid one with Sonnen.



Anything can happen in MMA but the odds of Michael Bisping beating Chael Sonnen would be very slim. If they think he is so great then I wonder if Anderson Silva and Ed SorryAss (opps I mean Ed Soares) would ever publicly bet serious money on Bisping to win against Sonnen.



I respect Anderson Silva's skill and what he has done but enough is enough. Him and his management are trying too hard to duck Chael Sonnen. You would never see a fighter with the fighting spirit of a Wanderlei Silva avoiding fights. Had Chael Sonnen called him out like he did Anderson Silva, Wanderlei would have charged into the cage to get at him. Just like he did with Rampage back in Pride. I'm not saying all that drama is needed but Wanderlei would have accepted the same day for sure.



If you truly have the same fighting spirit as Wanderlei then accept Chael's challenge already Anderson!

The fight hasn't been officially offered to Anderson, Chael Sonnen doesn't make the fights, Dana White does... I doubt Anderson would turn down any fights the UFC offers him, has that happened before?

Sonnen's record don't compare to Bisping's. He may have a few more top names on it but he has how many losses? People seem to think just because his style is one Silva struggles with that he is a top fighter. A very strong wrestler yes but that's the only decent facet to his game. His stand up is average and submission defense weak. I would love to see Bisping and Sonnen meet someday to shut all you fools up once and for all.

I see your point davetec1 but, on principal, nothing stops Anderson Silva from simply standing up to Chael Sonnen and accepting the challenge being made by him. If Dana White doesn't book the fight then so be it, he'll have to answer to the fans, but at least Anderson and his management wouldn't come across as trying to duck Chael.

Actually, there has been quite a bit of inquiry about this recently to really understand Joe Silva's role relative to Dana White and his hands on role. Dana has the real final say on the main fights (i.e. top 3 headlining fights). Joe Silva is more or less responsible for match making the remainder of the fights on the fight card.

I love this site great articles but even better are the arguments from keyboard warriors who wish they could do half the stuff that mma fighters can do lol and we all know that Ed SORE ASS "Soares" and silva are both ducking chael and looking for easy fights now so it seems apparent they want bisping so how about a #1 contender fight BIsping vs Sonnen so that they cant duck chael anymore

Why is Bisping's name being brought up as a title contender? Chael would eat Bisping. I think Bisping would look like Forrest against Anderson. Look at Bisping's previous fights...name one person that was a title contender that he beat? Don't make Hendo remind you about that KO of the millenium.



I wish you kids would put yourself and Silva's shoes for just a moment. I think Chael is acting like Silva's little brother, just nagging at Silva to get a rise out of him and show wittle Chaely some attention.

Some blame the welterweight champ because he doesn't want to go up, but at least he accepts every fight the ufc gives him. Silva doesn't want to go up, but he doesn't even want to fight Sonnen (which is normal because he knows he'll get beat).

on his twitter, he said he didn't like the picture at all, and that he's the only one who can talk about his fights, career, future, etc..

He actually didn't call out Bisping, Soares did and Silva has came out with a statement since showing frustration with Soareses comments. Basically saying those are Soareses feelings and not his and he can only speak for himself and also saying he is not in physical therapy for his shoulder. The Anderson Vs Sonnen rematch should definitely be his next fight though. it makes sense for so many reasons. It was Andersons worst performance since being in UFC. Anderson stated after the fight he had the rib injury. Sonnen tested positive for PED's after the fight. For some odd reason Sonnen still thinks he won the fight and that he's champion. Sonnen is doing a great job pre-promoting this fight and getting a hell of a lot of attention for it and its not even official yet. And with all the trash talk Sonnen has done you know there is bad blood and ill will between these guys now. It makes since on all levels. For me as much as I dislike Sonnens personality I do think he should be the # 1 contender he has only had 1 fight since he lost to Anderson but thats because of his suspension. Dana let these guys fight again. Hopefully both of them can come into the fight with no injuries and off the juice and we can see if Cheals dominance for the first 4 rounds was do to Andersons injury and Chael being on the juice.

well said this fight does make sence and Chae is the only MW that has given Silva a true test I believe that Sonnen will do the same thing to any other MW that he did to Stann... anyone who is thinking Silva Bisping or Sonnen Bisping is nuts this is not the fight that the fans want and it makes no sence for these two either they are the two best MW's so let them get after it and hopefully Silva can silence Sonnen once and for all....
