Shogun Rua Injured
Posted on June 10, 2010, 11:41 PM by RigoIt has been reported that UFC LightheavyWeight Champion Mauricio Shogun Rua has suffer a knee injury that will delay his fight with Rashad Evans, Shogun Rua had to undergo Knee Surgery Following his win over Lyoto Machida at UFC 113.
It was brought by MMA Live's Franklin Mcneals that Shogun had a knee injury prior his fight with Machida, seems Franklin knows his stuff, since Shogun had the injury and it was until he got his title that he went to fix his knee and had the surgery in L.A, its been reported that he will need 5 weeks of therapy, that he will have in Las Vegas.
The date of his return is still unknow but Evans will still have his title fight after defeating Rampage Jackson by Desicion at UFC 114. It only depends how fast can the Champion be back in the gym for Training after the Surgery.

The Champ will be Back!
Evans used this time because you will need it!
while shogun recovers just to walk again you can improved!
but when the time is right Shogun will be Ready.
LOL I guess that there's better health care when you're the champ.
Man this sucks, I just really really hope Shogun comes back in shape, he's top of his game just like he was before he fought Griffin, I dont want to see another Griffin fluke win happening against Evans
He looked great against Machida and I bet he will look great against Evans. Knock that wrestler out!
wow that sooo gay
Let's hope for a speedy recovery so there is not a huge time lag which could possibly give Shogun some ring rust. I think the sooner he fights again, the better.
Wow, again? That sucks.
I do not like this a bit I have got Knee surgery 3 times and it took more than 3 months to fully recover, so I think we will not see Shogun for another 6 to 9 months and he is not going to be in shape I am sure that...
Damn I hate injuries...
